Police Certificate from Colombia

Has anyone else had any problems with the Police Certificate lately?

The only threads I could find on visajourney were from before DAS was disbanded.

My husband printed out his police record certificate (one page, online) and included it in the package, but we were told that the document is missing by the operator today.

Should we send an email with the document attached? Mail in another hard copy? Try to call and talk to somebody?

This is the first road bump we have had so I am not sure what is the best course.

Hello: Try the below website to print off the police certificate. My wife's certificate was a one page print out as well, maybe NVC just lost it.

I found out what was wrong. There are two different online versions and he sent in the more informal one (that works for within Colombia) rather than the one that is for international transactions. It should look something like what I attached.

Didn't include the actual document necessary. You will need to include the Apostille (to be safe) along with the document attached here.

Was this enough at the NVC/embassy stage or did you have to get it apostilled for it to be accepted? I was under the impression that documents need not be apostilled since the Department of State website says: "All applicants over the age of 18 must provide a police certificate, called a "pasado judicial." Applicants may obtain police certificates online at www.policia.gov.co. Police certificates have a validity of one year." they don't mention anything about apostilles.

This was enough at NVC stage for us. We did not have an apostille attached. We printed it off online. Perhaps they request the apostille for certain beneficiary situations and/or profiles. I would follow NVC instructions and give them what they ask for and go with that.

I'm confused. So we found the way to get the online search that results in the one Milagritos posted second (non-Apostille, short version). So which version is needed? I don't see an option for a second version. Can any of you help me out?
