  1. Had the oath ceremony at the Greer Field Office and we were allowed guests. They said it was first come first served and it did fill up pretty quickly and some people were standing. There were about 30 people getting citizenship and not a very big room. Anyway very happy we ended up going!
  2. Did you have your ceremony? Were there any guests?
  3. No answers from facebook or twitter? Bumping this - has anyone had guests at their naturalization ceremony at a USCIS field office lately??
  4. Thank you! I tweeted them and will also post on their facebook or maybe facebook message!
  5. Yes - it says that, but there is no legal ramification or fine for leaving the US on a different passport and no immigration passport check when leaving the US. Thats a great option that you can bring the passport for her. I think with that situation I would just delay the trip until after the oath ceremony. There is another question asked on the day of the oath ceremony about travel you have done since the interview. It's probably not a problem since will be less than 6 months, but easier to avoid having to answer yes to that question. And yes I saw that same thing on the DR website!
  6. Are there stamps in your passport you can look at or google old airline ticket itineraries? I wouldn't risk it because they actually do have all that info in their computer including transit countries.
  7. My kids and myself, plus my parents would like to attend my husband's oath ceremony at the Greer, SC office. I tried calling the office to ask, but only got some AI woman who won't respond to my actual question. Can we attend? Would love if someone has experience or a way to get through to an actual person to ask. THanks!
  8. I would delay the trip until after the oath ceremony. Then you need to call for an emergency passport appt 2 weeks before the new "trip." We were just able to get an appt in Atlanta by calling on the spanish line. The other option is - can she apply for the passport in the embassy in Brazil? I know people here will probably be scared of that option, but I think it is probably doable. Has anyone ever done that?
