Thanks .. :) I agree. Except praying, not much we can do. Unfortuniately we didn't file from abroad . don't think we will qualify for those speed route . I just hope I can make it to the states before our first year anniversary .

which service center r u guys sending to?

Files are not sent directly to a service center, they are sent to one of two lockboxes depending on residence and the lockbox facility decides which service center the file is sent to.

Ours is Texas .. But was told that case was transferred to CA.. No idea why ...

Only the service centers in CA and VT adjudicate I-130 petitions.

Hi everyone...I am USC and filed for my minor stepchild in honduras on July 1. Recd. 1st NOS July 9th showing it was sent to California Service Center for processing. I havent heard anything since then. When I check status it shows last updated July 10th which i'm guessing is when they received. It drives me crazy knowing it is just sitting there not being touched. I guess the normal processing is about 5 months so i guess i have a few more months of waiting to go. What do i need to be doing in the meantime? I know that i will have to provide affadavit of support so i have already requested and received tax transcripts. What else should i be doing while i wait?
