hi, i received this email today from USCIS "on april 24,2012 we transferred this case to your UCIS local field office for additional processing. YOu will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you"

Does anyone know what this means? I filed a I-130 in Nov. 2011 for my husband who is in Mexico. I know it's not a NOA2 because nowhere does it say i've been approved but does this mean i got a RFE? I'm so confused... :crying:

Any new news Alelovescesar?

Nope. I think I'll give it another week from tomorrow, too. I'm hoping to be able to get in touch with my attorney sooner or later so she can maybe shed light, too. Did yours go to NBC or a local office?

Mine went to a local office they didn't say which but I'm thinking Los Angeles since its the closes one to me but if that's the case I hope it's not somewhere all the way at the bottom of their pile. LA is a super busy office

Hello Alelovescesar and ullnvrkno!i just went trhough all this forum's activity.... unfortunately my case got transfered to a local office too :crying: , i got the text while i was at work and i started crying...i could not stop so i had to leave work. The worst part is that i thought it was good news because yesterday i spoke with my congressman's secretary, who called me from Washington, and he asked me to send him a copy of my NOA1 so he could try to help me and accelerate everything, but instead of that i guess i'll have to wait i-don't-know-how-many-months to go to an interview. My hubby signed his voluntary departure in 2008, do you think it may be related to that? Uf! we have been away from each other for almost 4 years!!! and i was planning to go for his birthday at the end of June (even have tickets in hand) now i am afraid i might not be able to. I really thought we were going to be approved within the next two weeks since our 5 months wait will be due. How sad...i can't even schedule an infopass appointment because it tells me there are none available in my area. I feel desperate i don't know what to do

I'm sorry you're going thru this. It is a very stressful process. Ullnvkno and I have been waiting for about two weeks now with no news. If I were u I'd still go I'm also planning on visiting my husband in June. I don't think I'll get a response from my local office any time soon

I feel for you all. Thankfully, my husband is with me here in the states. Matter of fact, he's sitting next to me eating some disgusting smelling food as I type. Blah. Maybe it's NOT such a bad thing that your husbands haven't arrived yet. Hahahaha

All I can say kazulie is I'd give anything to have my husband sit next to me. Idgaf if he were next to me eating vinegar. I'd count my blessings.

Anyway, I have an info pass today., last night I called and the tier 2 I spoke to said he'd put in a reminder I asked for an expedite. Even have me a confirmation number. Hopefully I'll know more later today but I'm not expecting much. Actually I'm getting really freaking tired of waking up to no news, knowing that I still face another damn 8+ months separation.
