Just an FYI for anyone who cares: I sent an e-mail in lieu of the DS-3032 form. No form attached, just the e-mail, using the template given in the VJ NVC threads for the spouse filers. ACCEPTED! I can't believe it. Tomorrow will be two weeks, though (sent March 19)... so maybe it took longer than if I had mailed the dang form in the first place? I was going to send the second e-mail with "SUPERVISOR REVIEW" added, but I decided to wait it out until I had some kind of reply telling us it wasn't accepted. But then it was in the end.

Lucy4 - there was someone in the spouse threads who got through NVC in less than a month once he had his numbers! Best of luck to you for everything being speedy!

[PS I don't know what the heck is up with one of my earlier replies, a few posts up? It seems to have duplicated what I copied and wrote... anyway too late to edit, so - sorry about that]

My only thought is maybe sending an e-mail ALONE and having it accepted is dependent on the age of the beneficiary? I can't remember how old beejay's kids are... my stepson is 16, so he signs the forms himself... maybe the e-mail doesn't work if if is coming from a child less than 14 (the age @ which they sign the forms) or from a parent's e-mail (even though NVC has it on file)? Just speculating here...

Since your child is young, I would attach the DS-3032 form, signed as "XXX signing for minor child YYY" in the beginning, rather than wait to see if they require it from you. Maybe you were going to do that anyway... (I did it without the form as a kind of test since we are not in a hurry now). I just would hate to see ANY delays in your case. I am looking for the fastest possible NVC journey for you! And hopefully your consulate schedules interviews quickly.

Since our case is kind of on hold for now, I think I am more excited about seeing yours go quickly right now :)

No, no barcode with the DS-3032 (but yes for the other two forms, the barcode shows you paid the fees I believe, since it is only generated after you pay) - just download it, fill it out, print it and sign it. It will be easy for you since you don't need your stepdaughter's signature (we had to wait for all the actual signed forms in the mail from Bulgaria, since my stepson is older and has to sign himself). So this step won't set you back at all, it's just insurance that there will be less chance of rejection when you send an e-mail.

It will also help if when you get your NVC case number and Invoice Identification number, you give NVC the e-mail(s) that you will be using. I forgot to do that, so I had to call back, and even then I STILL forgot to add my stepson's e-mail account.

I finally got NOA2 guys! Well I dont have it yet, but the I130's been approved today. I am beyond belief! I had resolved that it would take a whole year. I guess Im off to the NVC process now.

Congrats! I hope we will get the NOA2 for the I-130 for my daughter soon. The priority date is 8/31/12. She is minor only 17 and she got pregnant , it is breaking my heart to pieces. It is like the waiting is killing me day by day. :(... i feel so guilty, not being there. Sorry to mention, a mother's guilt. I am so sad, felt like I really failed. :crying: :crying: :crying:

ok great, Ill print the ds3032 out, and have my husband sign it on her behalf. I plan on giving them our emails, but she doesnt have an email address. Does it make sense to create one for her, or do they send the same forms to the petitioner anyway?

I would think since she is not signing her own forms, she would not need an e-mail account. It should be fine to come from one of yours, especially if you have given it over the phone to NVC. Maybe give yours as the "Agent" and your husband's as the "Beneficiary's"? I'm not really sure about this. You don't want to miss any of the info about medical and interview... Either talk to NVC (multiple times to ensure you are getting a correct answer) or hopefully someone who had a young child will weigh in here about what they did.

By the way, my message from NVC accepting the e-mail was signed with the name of an actual person! That was a nice touch.

So - you have all the other documents ready to launch? At least you don't have to do the police certificate! We had to do one, and it encompassed exactly 4 weeks, since my stepson just turned 16 in January.

You can print the bar codes immediately upon payment (don't have to wait until it says "Paid" any more) so you can mail the documents a couple of days quicker than if you had to wait.

Our IV fee still hasn't been invoiced yet... (just 1 day so far)

And Kazulie - 23 days?! That's amazing! You rock.

you are not a failure..please try not to think that way. I know the situation is discouraging but im sure you are a great mother and mistakes happen. Im sorry you are not able to be with her and help her thru this..that part of it does hurt alot im sure.. but this too shall pass..

and just to encourage you. i was pregnant at 17.. im not gonna lie, it made life hard and i was disappointed in myself but i still went to college, and bought a house at 21 with my then husband, and have two A honor roll kids including my first born who just went to Italy and Greece with her high school. God has blessed despite my bad decisions. Keep your daughter encouraged and focused even from miles away..everything will work out for your good.. BE BLESSED
