A very specific situation...Help?

Hey guys!

So here is a bit of background.

I am a British Citizen & My husband is a US Citizen.

He is active duty military and has just been placed on the DCRF Misson.

My case has just been approved by USCIS and is currently on its way to the NVC.

I have read online it can take anywhere now from 3-6 months untill i get my interviw at the US Embassy.

Due to the mission he is on at the moment, do we have grounds to expedite and if we do how do we go about them?

He is currently not deployed, but he can be called up to mobalize within 6 hours and be gone for up to 9 months without prior warning for the next 2 years.

If this happens we will loose our home, our dog & probably fall into debt.

His Captain has agreed to help us with everything and anything we need but we just dont know where to start.

Sitting it out and waiting really doesnt feel like an option to us in these circumstances, but if that is the case we will just have to pray he does not get deployed.

Others peoples stories and questions from this website have been such a great help to us, but because this is such a specalised issue, i can not find anything about it online.

If anybody has any advice at all i would be very greatful to hear it.

Call the NVC, ask to speak to a supervisor, make your expedite request to the supervisor. The NVC may ask to see information before they make a decision on your expedite request.

Hey! We got an approved military expedite for the USCIS part and from the I-129f approval to visa in hand was about 11 weeks.

The NVC stage is usually fairly quick so you best bet will be a phone call, I don't think letters will work because by the time they get it, it may well have left them and be in London or on the way.

The embassy stage I found was a bit slow. They'll send you out a letter with all the forms you need to send them and a DS2001 which you send once you are ready for the interview - you can send them all at the same time but unless you are ready for the interview I would advise against sending the DS2001.

Along with the forms that I sent to the embassy I included all the expedite stuff, letter from the commander, the letter my then fiance sent and the approval and then a cover letter requesting an interview as early as they can give and my interview was about a 1 week after I got my letter which was great as some people were waiting 4+ weeks - I would get a letter from the highest possible rank your fiance can explaining the situation and include that with the forms and a cover letter explaining the situation to the embassy requests.

Also get your police clearance ordered ASAP, go to your doctors and make sure all your immunizations are upto date - you probably had most as a child (well I did) but these days babies are given 2 MMR's and I'd only had one. Plus to getting them done at your doc's is they're free.

Also make sure you have all the papers you will need from your fiance ASAP.

His command has an immigration liason staffer - sometimes they know stuff, sometimes not - but you won't know until you check in and ask.

IMO, you need an expedite. Have the USCitizen Spouse call into NVC, ask for 'Supervisor Sue' and tell all you need an expedite due to military orders.

I got the hubby to call the NVC and they gave us an email adress to forward all the papers to try to apply for an expedite, we had a bit of an issue because they had recieved the case but the auto systems said they had no record, but ive looked it up online thats not uncommon!

Ive also emailed JAG now so fingers crossed we can get things going
