I tried to talk to someone at USCIS. I called this number 1-800-375-5283. The greetings says that customer representitives are available, but no option can lead to a representitive. Anyone knows how to reach a person.

Thanks.

I struggled to find a option to talk to a representative too. I was only able to talk a representative after playing with the options for 15 minutes. I don't remember what option I selected but it is possible to talk to a representative by calling the number above.

TRY THIS...... PRESS 1, 2 AND 3. - THAN WAIT.

DETAILED:

DIAL 1-800 NUMBER.

AT THE PROMPT - PRESS 1 TO CHOOSE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.

PRESS 2 - to know about your case

PRESS 3 - for not having receipt no.

Next thing you will hear is this - your call will be recorded or monitored.....bla bla bla.....let it finish....and you will reach to a live operator/person. Remember the first operator is just a routine customer service professional. So, if you want to talk to an immigration officer ask that operator to transfer the call to an immigration officer. (sometimes you have to say that you were talking to an immigration officer about your case, and phone got disconnected, so could you please transfer me again) - a routine technique to conveince customer service rep. so that he/she will easily transfer your call.

Try it out folks.....and give your repo...

Great advice, that worked kruz_patz :star:

Crazy that it is nearly impossible to navigate through that labyrinth of selections without that piece of advice...Thanks

BTW, many of these operators from USCIS are merely reading through the forms or instructions and are less than ideal in terms of being interactive....Verrrry mechanical in their 'assistance'
