Julia & Matt Toronto 2015-11-16 No Yes - High I arrived at the airport four hours before my flight just to be safe. The pre inspection took about 10 minutes - fingerprints, couple questions, officer reiterated K1 etc. I then proceeded to the secondary inspection room where I waited for just over an hour. My yellow envelope had a tear of about an inch and a half in it to which the officer questioned if I had opened it. I told him no and that it was already that way. He asked me a couple questions about where we met, the address we would be living at, what my fiance does and then my passport was stamped and we were all done. Overall, it was a simple enough experience. The two officers were very straight forward and intense and while the lady from the first inspection warmed up towards the end, the gentleman in secondary inspection was having none of it. My advice to anyone travelling through Pearson is to arrive as early as possible. There were a couple people in the room who narrowly missed their flights despite arriving the recommended hour early! 2019-05-18

Amber & Tyrus Los Angeles 2015-11-18 Yes,Passport Stamp Yes - High The officer that took my paperwork was incredibly rude, almost unbelievably so. He spoke to me as if I was a child that didn't understand English. I was very taken aback, but felt that I couldn't stand up for myself because of the situation. I didn't want anything I said to cause this man to make problems with my visa. It's so sad that we must feel this way and give these rude officers such power, but that's why they feel they can speak to us this way. I'm sure they don't ordinarily speak to people this way. I left the desk in tears by the end of it. Either way, I'm glad it's all over. It's just a shame that my 'welcome' to America was so abysmal and upsetting. 2015-11-30
