POE was smooth at Alexandria Bay, NY & the 1000 islands bridge. Took about an hour total from the time I pulled up to the primary booth. I imported my car and had the K-1/i-94 processed. They verified my fiancee's address and phone number and that was about it.
For importing a vehicle make sure you have letters from the manufacturer proving that there are no outstanding recalls, that the vehicle meets EPA/DOT standards and proof that you own the vehicle.

Ambassador bridge at Detroit. took around an hour,the officer dealing with us- it was his first K1/K2 i believe as he wasn't sure what to do- his colleague kept him right, at the end he actually handed us back our envelopes-i pointed out that he keeps these and he just laughed at his error. we had to pay $12 dollars?? |

Was a great experience in Edmonton. Officer was very polite. Did make a comment about my "big" file. I replied that I thought too much info was better than not enough and have to wait longer to be with my husband. Hip hip hooray. All went well. Bless the LORD |
