I arrived in the US on 24 March from the UK. Due to COVID and being from a country affected by a travel ban, there was a block on my passport that the person at the Delta counter had to have removed by calling some personnel within the US. This was an easy process. It was suggested that I may need to show my marriage certificate so I had it handy, but it was not requested.
After I landed and arrived at the immigration hall, I approached the officer (there was no queue — it was very empty) and told them I was entering on the CR1 visa. They took the passport, asked me to lower my mask, and placed the passport in a purple folder and told me to follow a CBP officer. I was instructed to have a seat and wait for my name to be called. Within 5 minutes, I was called up to the desk where they had me sign a slip of paper ensuring I was aware of the need to remove conditions in two years. After this, I sat back down and waited to be called again. Not long after, I was summoned again and the officer confirmed the address and phone number where the green card will be sent. He returned my stamped passport and that was all! Everyone was very friendly, and I was very lucky to arrive at a time where they were not busy at all.
Also, on the visa itself, there was an annotation that stated, “Class B Req. ATTN. of USPHS at POE.†This was presumably because of a former standard depression diagnosis. We were concerned about this causing issues at POE, but no one ever mentioned it. |

Spent like 3 minutes at the immigration kiosk for fingerprints and then got pulled into a room. Was handed my passport 5 minutes later and I was on my merry way. No questions asked other than confirming address to mail greencard. |

Ridiculously quick. No line, no questions asked of me or my stepson (other than address). 5 minute wait in office and stamped and sent on our way. |

My fiance had a very good experience with his point of entry at Hartsfield-Jackson airport in Atlanta. He said it was basically like a finishing interview for the entire K1 process. They asked him a few questions about what I do for a living, what he does for a living, our children. If we had set a wedding date yet. Just basic stuff honestly. The officer then handed him a sheet of paper that had information about becoming a U.S. citizen and told him congratulations. All my nervousness and worry was for nothing. |
