Onyi & Cyndy Atlanta 2020-01-07 No Yes - High UPDATE: TODAY is Jan 10th 2020. My fiance and I travelled from Lagos🛫Atlanta🛫Los Angeles. The Port of Entry was Atlanta. He and I went together and I got in the immigrant/visa line with him although I'm a citizen. The officer thanked me "for doing it the right way" and not going into a seperate "citizen's" line. They took our passports, took our pictures, and then they fingerprinted my fiance. After they asked him for a sealed packet and took it to a different officer for processing. We sat and waited in a seperate area for 10-15mins. Then my fiance's name was called and they asked the following questions: ✈1. What is your U.S. address? ✈2. When are you getting married? ✈3. Who are you (me, the petitioner) to him (the beneficiary)? After they gave him a paper documenting what an 'Adjustment of Status' is and how to file for a working permit and handed us our passports back. We got in at 5:15am right when they opened. The officers were kind and so was TSA. I HIGHLY recommend coming through ATL if possible. I went through New York by myself in June 2019 and had a terrible experience. They seemed more rough and rude and all had bad attitudes, even being that I'm a citizen. 2021-03-21
