Met a paki guy who worked at the LA airport and he made me skip lines took me straight to the last line which saved time.
The immigration officer was chill and fun had a good time talking with him. |

I queued up like normal visitors but the only difference is i do not need to get the piece of paper at that machine and headed straight to the queue.
Officer at the booth was quite annoyed by the fact that no one has notified them there are actually some countries started using the new e-upload system and we do not get the envelop package anymore. (There is a note on the CR-1 visa stating that package is on system) So he made a call and i was picked up by another officer to the baggage claim level.
It was a counter for new immigrants and he filled out a form for me. It only took a few minutes from there and he was very nice.
Questions asked by first officer: When was i married, what's my address, why do i not have the package (not my fault isnt it?)
Questions asked by second officer: When was i married, who petitioned for me
Total time taken: 1 hour 15 mins
Things to note: You will need to tell people at queue control that you have a new immigrant visa, so they would let you through without the piece of paper from the machine. Same for the officer at luggage control where they collects your declaration form.

The line at customs took like an hour, as per usual. Once it was my turn, they took my fingerprints and picture and asked me the reason for my visit. I told them I had a k1 visa (I thought they would see it on my passport, but I guess they didn't). The guy asked for my packet and took me to secondary.
I was there for maybe 3 mins. There was nobody there (we landed at 10pm) so I didn't have to wait at all. Guy told me that I had 90 days to get married and told me I was good to go. No questions asked. |
