TERRIBLE experience. The person who ran the interview, was rude and impolite beyond belief. Her demeanor was appalling in general, let alone from someone holding such a prominent position. I still don't know how I managed to keep my composure as I guess I have never met any official displaying such a rude behavior. However, I want to stress that the Embassy in Paris has been the ONLY trouble maker I have met in my US immigration journey. For the rest of the process, ALL the officials I have met at USCIS were EXTREMELY courteous, helpful and efficient. YES ALL OF THEM. I have heard over and over that "the immigration system is broken". My take is that the US immigration system works just fine and that it might very well be what gravitates around the immigration system that is totally dysfunctional. So far, and besides the shameful and unacceptable demeanor I have witnessed at the US Embassy in Paris the only thing I can say is "thumbs-up"! Oh by the way: think twice before you hire a lawyer, first because I don't think the immigration process is difficult ( you just need to be extremely thorough) and then I have heard so many of them uttering inaccurate things that, I would definitely fear they would botch my case even if it is a slam dunk. Beware. | 2024-05-21 | |||

Everybody was nice. The interview part is done in English (preferably but he can speak French too). He asked how I met my fiancé, if I came to US more than once and why, where was our first lunch, to see some pictures of us. | 2024-04-11 |
