The I-864 was submitted on the day of the visa interview. The reason why there was such a long wait between the interview and the visa being issued is because Melanie was in the first trimester of pregnancy during the medical exam. Thus, the radiologist instructed us to wait until the second trimester before administering the chest X-ray. The embassy approved this delay, so after the interview in October they simply placed our case on hold until the results of the medical exam arrived in early December. The interviewer first asked my husband to take an oath and then asked very few questions like - Whom are you following in the US? - Did you ever live outside of France and Bangladesh( as my husband is from Bangladesh)? - How did you meet your wife and when? - When did you get married? - Did your family members attend your wedding? - Are you guys live together? - What is your profession? - When are you planning to move to the US? Wifey was born in France but lived in Cameroon, she also went to medical school in China. NVC rejected her Cameroonian birth certificate because they wanted her French birth certificate. They also wanted the notarized police certificate from China. We were able to get those documents so we were DQ’d after. In preparation of the interview, I uploaded in the CEAC interface 200+ pictures (wedding pictures , pictures together eating out, at the club, with family, at the hotel where we stayed during my visit there…), my 3 travel tickets to see her, money transfer receipts, insurance beneficiary documents, 30 pages of texts and calls, . During the interview, these are the questions asked: who filled for you? What is your name? How did you meet? Have either of you been married before? We received no notification of this, however, and only became aware of the transfer when the approval letter listed the Nebraska Service Center. As such, we don't know when it was transferred, or how long it took to process once received at the second service center. Received denial from NVC on June 30, 2022 after submitted the incorrect DS-260 form (the USCIS website was non-functional and the other form available online was very expired—something we only noticed after after the submission be rejected).
