The embassy has her packet. WE have interview date for FEB 19. Went to interview on 19 FEB. They wouldn't let me go in with her. She went to pay and they said i had to be there. So they kicked her out and we had to get new interview date march 10. Well today March 10 Orasa went to interview she got the stamp in her passport. She says it was easy BUT i didn't ask her the questions he asked . He was an american and spoke Thai she tried to talk English with him BUT he seemed to have a hard time understanding her. So he asked her if she preferred thai she said yes . So from there out he spoke Thai. Asked her two questions 1. Why is your husband going back to USA? she said to see family. Then Is your husband retired? Yes. Then he says ok done . And that is when he stamped her passport . Then he says you will get your passport and packet within a week. and that was it. My wife was the last interview scheduled for the day. Consular staff had no interest in doing the job correctly. They gave an RFE requesting copies of divorce degree and proof of additional assets for the AOS. Of course, all these documents were attached to the original filings. Were they lost by NVC? Who knows? Being overprepared, my wife told the staff that she had extra copies in her possession. The consular staff refused to look at the documents. The RFE also asked for proof of domicile in the USA. Admittedly, there was not a lot of proof in the filing of domicile other than the fact that all the documentation sent reflected a US address, but, since we had our wedding outside of the USA, I suppose it was a fair question. After all, no one marries outside the USA and files a CR-1. RIght? So, the visa was delayed for 10 weeks (the consulate had all the requested information in their hands again, within a week of the initial interview). Of course, at both interviews the CO asked really weird questions, I believe just to try to rattle my wife, who is super calm. At the second interview, they told her because of my prior marriages they probably would not grant her visa. This was either a mind game or their lack of knowledge about the rules.. That issue was definitively decided by USCIS, and State is not allowed to revisit it under the rules. And the consular staff needs to learn how to write numbers legibly. They would have flunked 3rd grade.	2017-03-24
