TimAnlle Anlle & Tim Chicago IL Mail First 2017-12-02 2017-12-11 2018-03-28 We thought that the card would have come by now, but it has not (June 13, 2018). It has been 2.5 months since we received approval notice. July 30, 2018: We moved to a new address within the same city in early April. Get this: we forward with US Postal service, and had had address changed within USCIS. By April 1 we were in the new house, by April 9 we received, FORWARDED to the new house, a NOA RE: the I-765 and I131, which said, "In two weeks the card is coming." After two weeks it hadn't come (we're thinking, big deal, things are always running a little late.) The last week in April / first week of May we were swamped with a garage sale preparation, and then went on vacation until mid-May. Still no card. After reading many stories of people calling in about this problem and being told to wait 60 days from the time you expected the card to come, we decided just to be patient.. On June 15 we checked the case status online (I had forgotten about this) and saw that the card had COME TO THE OLD HOUSE BUT HAD NOT BEEN FORWARDED TO THE NEW ADDRESS!!! It also told us that the card had been returned to the office from whence it had come. So, we were mailed the card, but they Post Office doesn't forward them (would have been nice to know; they probably tell you somewhere I didn't think to look), and eventually the PO returned the card. So we called USCIS, and after they told us everything we already knew, gave us a confirmation number and said we should hear from them in 15-30 days. Fifteen-thirty days passed without hearing anything. Called again, this time the lady sounded like a real person and said "We're going to make this happen. Please wait 15-30 days.' We also got another confirmation number. So, now we are waiting again. UPDATE, October 15, 2018: The EAD never came, but in the meantime the Green Card was approved and we now have it in our possession. I guess the moral of the story is: everything went well except for this hiccup. It kind of falls into the category of "not really anyone's fault." Our God is sovereign; we simply decided to wait on Him and He was faithful in the end! 2018-10-15
