our immigration officer made friendly small talk and confirmed many questions/answers from our i485. the only actual questions she asked that we needed to provide an answer was our wedding date and parents names of the petitioner. also, she asked our 8yo kid some questions about school. she did ask for some documentation that she kept such as lease agreement with both our names, petitioners work confirmation, petitioners divorce decree and our kid’s name change. she only wanted to see photos but didnt keep them. interview lasted about 30mins. she didnt ask for most of the documents that are listed in the i797c notice of appointment. BUT we had everything just in case and you should too!
we are super happy and lucky our case was transferred to yakima from seattle and the officer was awesome and so kind! |
