Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We originally received our interview date for June 10, 2019. We had to reschedule due to travel complication. We received an email from USCIS, stating that we would have to wait up to 60 days for a new interview. We received letter with new interview date on July 12.

Our interview was scheduled for July 30, 2019 at 8:45 am.

My husband (beneficiary) and I (petitioner) arrived about half and hour early. The security officers and receptionist who checked us in were friendly. The directed us to the waiting area, where we waited until about 9:15 am for the officer to take us back into the office for the interview. The officer then took our passports and state IDs to verify our identities. We took the oath and began answering questions:

Questions for beneficiary (my husband)
1) Name and date of birth
2) What is your social security number?
3) Do you have a job? Where?
4) How much are you getting paid?
5) Addre... read complete review

I had my aos interview Jan 17. Long drive to New Orleans from where I live so we arrived an hour early. At 12:20 we decided to check in. Went through the security check and then proceeded to window 2. The take your appt letter and that’s it until you get called in. I was called in 20 mins after 1 (appt time) by a gentleman. He said our case was easy and we had been married over 2 years and have 2 kids together so he would approve us. We were in there 10 mins. I asked him about stamping my passport but he said I would receive my green card shortly so just to wait it out. I wa so stressed over this because of all the reviews I’ve read. My case was not like others. We literally walked in and were approved. I guess when your marriage is real there nothing to fret over.

Review Topic: Lifting Conditions

Completed my BIO appt on Monday Jan 22. in NOLA. The office is right downtown and there is now a new parking garage right next door. Not bad price for downtown, $10 per hour. I arrive 2 hours early for my appt, but I thought I would see if they could take me early. When you arrive at the 18th floor you will pass through the metal detector and you will need to remove your shoes (expect for trainers). If you are there for your BIO appt only, go to your left. The lineup to the right is for infopass and interview appointments (I made the mistake of standing in the infopass line for 5 min before I asked someone). When I arrived at the BIO desk, there was no one waiting. They agent took me straight away, asked for my letter and ID and gave me a form to fill in. He was training someone so it was a bit slower. Once I filled in the form, I was taken to the next room where my picture and fingerprints were taken. Most have noted that they were asked for only the four fingers on the ri... read complete review

Got to my interview 30 minutes early. Got called in 10 minutes after my appointment time.
The man conducting our interview was very professional and straight to the point.
Overall great experience!
