Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We are a same-sex lesbian couple.
I, the foreign spouse, arrived in the U.S. in October 2016. But we filed the AOS in December 2017 (1 year and 2 months after my arrival). It was not brought up during the interview.

Originally, our interview for scheduled for June of 2017. But my wife was out of state due to work at the time and we could not attend. We called USCIS, and a lady told us it was possible to reschedule, and that she'd make a note about it, but that we are still advised to send a letter to our local USCIS office about needing to reschedule. Which we did. About 3 weeks after the call, we got a letter in the mail telling us our interview date will be rescheduled. Two months after that, we got a new date, August 29th.

We had our interview scheduled for 9:30. We arrived at about 9:15, parking was fairly easy that day (it's a quarter for 30 minutes of parking on that same street). Otherwise, there's a big parking area about 2 blocks away. We ... read complete review

my experience for my interview was great.. arrived there 30min earlier. and we were called 5min after our interview time. we also brought my 2years old son. i was 39weeks 3days pregnant. the lady was so nice she saw my belly and she said you look so uncomfortable i will make it faster.. told her my due date.
it didn't even take 5min.. she went through yes or no questions. asked home adress, my last entry, joint account, health insurance, tax return, marraige certificate. we brought evidences like photo album but she didn't even ask. all went well so fast since we are married more than 2years its 10years gc. on our way out she said wait for status change online. God is good.. good luck to you all who are waiting.

*Suggestions*
• Dress nice
• Get there at least 30 minutes early and research parking and have change if necessary beforehand (I forgot to have coins available for the street parking meters and had to literally run about 2 blocks away to get coins from a business)
• Cell phones allowed
• We had two open tote bags of evidence which had no issues in security
• If possible try to not wear/bring metal
• Ok to be nervous
• Ok to ask for clarification if needed

*Our experience*
We stood to give the vow.
Questions asked:
To the sponsor: Name? Where do you live? Where were you born and when?

To the spouse: Spouse: Full name? Where do you live? Where were you born and when? Parents names? Asked about last entry into the US, and then where did we go and for how long. Asked if he had ever been denied a visa in Brazil, and why. Asked when were we married. Then asked spouse all... read complete review

Review Topic: Naturalization

I wish to share with you my Biometrics and finger print experience today at the Milwaukee office. My appointment was at 11:00 am. I got there at 10:25 am and was allowed to go in. My husband and I were checked at the security check point. I was asked to remove my shoes, watch, earrings and any metal items I may have had on my person and hand to the officer my appointment letter and green card. I was scanned and directed to an area just adjacent to the security check point when I had to stand and wait for someone to greet me. I handed to the agent my appointment letter along with my green card. She took those documents and returned to me with a clip board and an applicant information worksheet to fill out. It ask for my first and last name, other names I have used including my maiden name, date of birth, country of birth, citizenship, gender, race, eye and hair color, weight and height. After I was done filling that out I returned to the area and waited as instructed. I was then called ... read complete review
