Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We had our interview in November and it was pretty quick. We were not separated during the interview. Most likely because we had our newborn son with us, and it was the best proof of the relationship. The officer asked many questions from the I-485 form to my husband, and then some extra questions. Some were repeated several times, like when did he entered US, when did we get married and if he has been working in the US. Felt like the officer is trying to catch my husband by mixing up dates or something. Anyway, within 15 minutes it was all over and we were approved. Overall, good experience

Nothing that no one has experienced before. javascript:emoticon('')
First, my wife was interviewed, and 30 minutes later, I was called in the same office, while she was in a corner (here choice).

Questions:
Where was your second date?
How did you come to the office this morning?
When was the last time you have dinner together?
What did you eat?
Do you have any tattoos or scars? Do your wife have?

Easy to answer if you are a real couple.
Overall a pleasant interview.

Good luck javascript:emoticon('')

Our experience was nothing but positive and great! We didn’t have to wait long to get called in. The officer was very nice and very personable. The interview took about 45 minutes and the questions were very straight to the point. He was nice to the point he said “I will have to ask you some questions and some of them might sound awkward and kind of ridiculous but just be honest and be yourself” so apart from the usual “Have you ever or do you plan to commit any kind of crime in the US” he wanted to see our wedding pictures and ask me who were some of the people in the pictures with us. He ask my husband my parents name and the city I lived in in Portugal. He asked how did we met, got engaged, who proposed and how. And this was pretty much it. 😉😀

My wife did the interview first for 15 mints, then she stay in the office and I was asked to came in for interview for 25 mints, but my wife was asked to keep silient for the whole time.

I gave my I-767 to the receptionist and she scanned barcode then asked us to wait for to be called. There are 4 interview sections at 4 corners of the waiting hall. Half hour later, an middle aged male officer called my name. He asked my wife to go with him and hand her cellphone over to me before that. We were a little surprised, as we expected my wife and I would to be interviewed together. My wife went with him and 15 mints later, he came to get me. I followed him to his office-my wife sitting at the right corner, being silent there. The man asked me to stand by the table and lift my right hand, swearin... read complete review
