As most likely guessed, the Vietnamese interpreter (almost 100% is a son/daughter of a communist) is disrespectful by yelling and screaming. Very poor ability in interpreting the materials. Poor body gesture and unprofessional. Wrong interpretation and unclear at times. Thank God my fiance is smart and caught it so many times with the little English that she knows. The interpreter even couldn't understand the Consulate Officer at times and asked him to write down what he said so that she is able to translate the materials. Those of you who needs to use an interpreter, please ask the question over again from the interpreter if it's not clearly and specific.
The Consulate Officer (CO) was older, white male, experienced, not friendly, but respectful. Very tough and experienced CO that throws a few tricky questions. Thank God again my fiance is smart and consistence. And she knows me probably more than I know myself. javascript:emoticon('')

I, the husband/petitioner, was allowed to go through the process with my wife and I think the visa officer liked seeing that I was present. I did not include the DS-230 Part I because I thought that it was originally included in the I-130 filing. They were very friendly and let my wife fill it out...they happened to have an extra sheet. My wife's police check was not finished yet, though we filed for it a month and a half before the interview (my wife moved from the north to the south so her's was more involved.).
When it came time for my wife's interview, I walked to the window with her, the officer greeted me and asked if I was the petitioner and then asked me to sit down away from them. He asked my wife very simple questions like the dates of our engagement and wedding parties, where and how did we meet, what will she do in the USA, and had she been to the USA before. Also, they asked her when we plan to go to the USA.
They did tell my wife that ... read complete review

Interview date JAN.26,2011 My wife arrived at the consulate at 7:30. Her interview started at 10:30. She was interviewed by a tall white male and vietnamese male national. There was also a young black female present.
My wife was asked if she spoke english, her reply yes, but only a little. The entire interview was done in vietnamese.
My wife was asked for our photos.
She was asked when we met . How we met. How I proposed and when. When I proposed the 2nd time. How many time I had visited her , and the date of each arrival.
Where I work. what my job was. At this point my wife tried to show something I had made for her where I work. I am a machinist. She was told they didn't want to and didn't need to see it. The whole interview went down hill from this point. My wife became very nervous. The vietnamese interviewer was very rude.
What are your husband hobbies.
what kind of fish does he fish for. Where does he fish. what does he... read complete review
