Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

We arrived at the Embassy on August 4. Petitioner accompanied the beneficiary but was refused entry by the security guard on the orders of the Consular Officer. Questions asked:

1. When and how did you meet?
2. Who introduced you?
3. How did your relationship develop?
4. You applied for a student visa on 2 occasions last summer, correct?
5. Have you ever been abroad?
6. Have you ever been abroad for more than 6 months?
7. Did you apply for your student visa while your husband was living in another state than where you were planning to study?
8. When was your wedding?

At the end of the interview the Consular Officer asked for proof of relationship documents. We provided pictures together at different times and occasions with and without family members and friends. CO said she will make a note of documents provided but asked to see a history of chat and calls. We're not sure if she was informed that the pe... read complete review

1st of all I would like to tell little bit of our K1 story. As most of guys here said that our case was under Red Flag. This mentionad with this that: Though we know each other about two years BUT we have met just once, and engaged right away. Also between 1st meeting and Embassy Interview was taken 10 months which is seriously long time. I have been married before but for my fiance its 1st marriage, though we have perfect age differences (he's 3 yrs older)

Now about Interview.
As soon as we scheduled my Interview date, my fiance wished to come to Uzbekistan and accompanying me at interview. So I emailed Consular and got approved him accompanying me for Interview! He arrived 2nd of October and in 3rd of October early morning at 8:30 we been in Embassy. Our Interview scheduled at 9am. Since he's US citizen, we didnt wait in long line but get in right away. BUT we waited soooooo long to take interview. At 12pm CO finally called my name and my fiance followed me to t... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

Had our K-1/K-2 (for my 2 children) interview yesterday. In general experience was good: local staff who was preparing our package (this is a step before the interview) was extremely good and helped us. I didn't have my fiance's divorce certificate (they request to have an original) but he still decided to pass it on to consul (he could have just sent us home). I am veeeeery greatful to him.
The interview was very short - how and when we met for the first time and when and where we met after that. That was easy
In total it took 4 hours: arrived at 7:30 (appointment at 8) and left at 11:30. interview itself was around 11 and took 5 minutes

Hope this helps and good luck to all!!!

The consul asked my fiancee how we met, whether she has met my parents, what I do for living and evidence of relationship (pictures). Overall the questions went smooth and only took about 5 minutes but due to wait inside of the consulate, she came out after an hour and half.

Review Topic: F-2A Visa

The IO was extremely friendly. He asked me general questions about my husband, and me. I was very nervous about the interview, and was expecting a lot of questions about our relationship, but the interview itself was very easy. It's all about the documents that we should send to the NVC. If all required documents are complete, then the rest experience will be smooth.
