I was so worried about the interview, but honestly this was the easiest part of the entire process. My appointment was scheduled for 10am on a Monday morning and I arrived a little after 9. I joined a queue at a small desk outside the embassy and after showing my passport and DS-260, was allowed straight inside. There was some airport style security just inside the door that was very easy to get through, then a walk up to the main reception area. There was a very large queue waiting here, but the lady at the desk called anyone doing an immigrant visa forward. She was extremely helpful and nice, clearly explaining where I needed to go. I took an elevator to the right of the desk to the first floor and then went all the way around to the left, to the immigrant interview section. I was sitting down for maybe five minutes when my number came up on a screen over an interview desk. The guy took my finger prints and asked for my birth certificate, marriage license and police certificate. He s... read complete review

Good experience at the embassy yesterday and our visa is approved just pending medical results which should arrive today or tomorrow.
A few points worth noting:
I got in the queue at 0900 (as per the instructions for a 0930 appt) and the lady told me that for a K type visa I only needed to be there 15 mins before so told me to come back which was easy enough.
There is a small Australian(?) coffee shop near to the Waitrose that I went to for (really great) coffee. They seemed to be happy to hold peoples laptops etc for a fee of £10 a day, multiple people did this during the 10 or so minutes I was there so I imagine it gets full up quickly and is best used only for emergencies. Plan to not bring big bags/laptops to the embassy if at all possible because you cant take them in.
Interview wise everything was good, a pretty simple process. The gentleman taking docs was really nice and appeared to have a trainee shadowing him wh... read complete review

Found the embassy really easily. People outside asked to see ds160 and told me to
Head back 10 minutes before my appointment as rules had changed. Went back and got in, went through security all of whom were happy and cheerful then went up into the embassy and got diverted to second floor where I had to speak to ... read complete review

Super chilled, easy and fast experience. It was great. All the staff at the consulate were very sweet and calming. I was extremely well prepared, so I was feeling good about everything.
My advice to anyone going through this process would be to do your research, ask All the questions, and use the time you have productively. Make sure you have everything you need, look at the checklists and make a folder as soon as you have the documents, This will alleviate stress and you will really enjoy your experience rather than feel rushed and stressed. javascript:emoticon(' ')
From walking in the door, to leaving with my approval it was about an hour, and most of that was waiting between seeing each consulate employee. Everyone was so lovely, and I left literally jumping for joy! javascript:emoticon(' ')

Easy, breezy, beautiful!!
My appointment was scheduled for 10.30Am, got there at 10.15 because of delays on the tube line I was intending to use and also getting lost amongst the insane amount of construction in the area!! (I had no access to google maps at the time but I highly recommend using it!! 😅)
My dad had travelled with me so we asked at the first desk if he could come in with me, they double checked and it was fine!! The lady at this desk asked me for a DS-260 which had me panicked but then I gave her my 160 and passport and she said that’s what she meant, they’re not super up to date with the visa process out there.
Through the airport style security then up to a second desk, asked for my DS160 again but not my appointment letter (heard others being asked for it). Received a sticker and Told to go upstairs to level one then left and left again. There were three pairs of ya given the same directions and when ... read complete review
