for the actual interview you just turn up, wait for your number to be called and have a little chat to the guy/lady behind the glass twice- first time to give your documents and second time to ask a few questions after they've reviewed it. I was asked where me and Jason met and how long we'd been together, then how many times we'd met in person and the last time I saw him.

The interview was straight forward a couple basic questions about how we met. Mostly the time was spent waiting.

The interview at the consulate was extremely smooth. In contrast to my previous VISA interviews for studying in the US, I found the process to be seamless. It seemed as though those going through the immigration process got expedited through the consulate and didn't have to wait in lines with the other VISA categories.
The consulate officers that collected my documents and interviewed me were extremely professional and explained things very well. All in all I found the experience easy and simple.
My only critique was that on an extremely rainy day, the AC was extremely cold and made waiting to be seen a little uncomfortable.
There are a lot of scary review of consulates online, but I would say that those working in the London consulate try hard to calm those that are interviewing for their VISA's and don't 'unnecessarily frighten' them as I have seen others review. javascript:emoticon(' ')
