Interview went well, my appointment was for 9.15AM. I arrived at the embassy at 8.45AM and was asked to join the IV queue outside the building. There was only 1 other person in the IV queue. Many others behind us in the Non Immigrant queue.

Was called to the security post about 10 minutes later, went through security and got a queue number. Was expecting a wait, but my number was called immediately. An asian man checked my documents and asked me some basic questions.
- How did you two meet? (We met in a church)
- What church was it?
- What does your fiance do?
- Has he shared his salary information with you?

He took I-134, a few of my fiance's recent paystubs, his employer and bank letter and 3 recent photos. He asked if my fiance's current job is his first, and required no further explanation for the lack of W2s submitted.

I had compiled his paystubs and bank statements from the past year and these were all retu... read complete review

Two interviews as expected. First one more difficult than I anticipated (and somewhat does not make sense), second one straight forward. Result: case looks good - under final review, if nothing else will get notice to pick up passport with visa in a week's time (5 working days I believe).

Singaporean officer who reviews documents: (he insisted it was not "the" interview) - questions recalled from memory in no particular order:
> Old passports? Show me old US visas (I was a student and worked in the States before) - so that I can verify you haven't overstayed (?! I thought they are immigration they would have known that already?)
> Might need updated bank statements (from US spouse) (turns out didn't)
> Where did you meet? Any photos before wedding? (We've been living in Singapore together for a while, nothing long distance dated here got married here so didnt bring a lot of proof - luckily husband got a photo in his wallet - did not seem the American... read complete review

Interview on 30-12-2014 , the whole interview with up and down feeling . Mainly becuase of the unfriendly way of approaching by the 1st interviewer , my heart almost sink after he told me , my original birth certificate was not found in packages, beside that petition's certified divorce decree also lost . I am really panicking and don't know what to do when he gave me the checklist to drop my passport and outstanding documents at the Aramex.

On the 2nd session, interview by a caucasian consulate, he is more friendly and with lots of smile, I would said my heart is more settled down when he told me our case is completed and he don't need any other documents from us...." Hooray"

Walking out from the Embassy , felt so unreal but glad that the whole process is done . Now I should get ready for my new journey in US

All the best to those who is still in the process and waiting for interview

Requested and got Expedited Processing, so the Original I-130, IV Packet and Civil Document were all sent directly to the Singapore Embassy, read below some of the surprises at the 1st Interview.

Interview Results and Questions

Interview scheduled at 9:15am, wife arrived at 8:30am; Security wouldn’t let her in and told to wait outside until 8:45am.

Passed through Security; turned off cell-phone and charger, and handed them to Security, and waited in the waiting area to be called for her interview.

1st Interview started at 9:15am, interviewer (by Asian guy) asked for the following:

1. Interviewer asked for wife’s Passport

2. Interviewer asked for her Birth Certificate, wife handed over a “Black and White” Certified Copy of her BC with Signature and Seal. Original was submitted to the NVC as part of the Civil Document submission, and this should have been in the forwarded documents from the ... read complete review

I had a very good experience at the US Consulate in Singapore. My appointment was at 9:45AM. I got there about a 1/2 hour earlier and brought a book along to read. My number was called and I presented the documents that the officer asked for. The following documents were presented:

1. Passport
2. Extract of birth certificate (I lost the original)
3. Former spouse's extract of death certificate
4. Fiance's certified copy of divorce decree
5. Police criminal background checks for all the countries I've lived in (this took many weeks to get done)
6. Fiance's affidavit of support and accompanying documents (I submitted his W2, his US Government employee record verifying number of years worked; and his bank statement which included the year when the bank account was opened)
7. In addition, I submitted my bank statement of funds available, prior three months
8. Four of my best photographs as evidence of our relationship (the of... read complete review
