My interview was at 8.15, i came to the Embassy at 7.30 and already had quite a few people in line in front of me. My advice would be to come at 6.30 to be in the first 10 people.
Before entering the gate, the security guard checks passports and after that you are allowed to get inside through the gate and wait in line for the Embassy to open.
Basically, you queue 4 times:
1) window outside - you submit your DS 160 and passport (make sure they attach the barcode to the DS 160 - to secure Pony express home delivery)
2) inside the building after security check to get the paper with number
3) when your number gets called - to submit the documents
4) when your name gets called - for the interview with the consul
All in all it took me about 4 hours from the entry to the exit.
The interview itself was short and very constructive, I have listed below the questions:
- When did you meet your fiance?<... read complete review

Everything went fine and pretty quick, the consulate is very well organized.
I arrived at the new embassy building at Devyankinsky, 8 at 7:30am, there were about 30 people in the line already, they started letting us in by 8am.
They forbid to bring phones and smartwatches inside the building (along with other electronic devices and wires) and don't have any slots to keep it, so make sure you have left yours somewhere else. Once I got inside, I showed my passport and got a queue number. After about 20 minutes wait, they called me in to submit my documents, took only originals of marriage, birth, and police certificates. Then another wait to be called for the interview, I think it took less than 30 minutes. The officer was a nice guy, he asked when, where and how I met my hubby, why we chose to get married in Northern Ireland, where hubby lives and how long I spent in the trip to the USA, when we met. Didn't ask for any evidence or hubby's tax/employment documents. Then he ... read complete review

Very efficient process. The interview was only 5 minutes long. Vika said the CO was “cute and sweet.†She was only asked a few questions, such as: how did you meet? Where will you live?
The CO kept her passport. Vika has the medical tomorrow, so approval is pending the outcome. The medical folks will forward the results to the embassy.
