I arrived at the US embassy around 5:15 AM and quite a number of people were already queuing up for the immigrant/fiancee visa lane. I got my BPI receipt, appointment letter and passport ready since these are the first few docs to present to the greeter staff before entering the embassy. The greeter staff will give you a sheet of paper for you to fill out after the interview, it's for the courier service that will deliver your passport to your address of choice. Upon entering the embassy, you will have to go through a check point area and then you will be led to the 3 windows where you will present your DS forms, appointment letter and BPI receipt. You will be given a stub showing your number which will be flashed on a screen in the waiting area.

By 7:45 AM I was already at the window that called my number for pre-screening. I was assigned to be pre-screened by a Filipino guy who seemed to be quite snotty He asked me the ff. questions (as far as my sl... read complete review

I just wanna share my CR1 visa interview experience to all who are just starting their journey so u can all have an idea before u go to your respective dates...
I woke up at 1AM to get ready since i'll be travelling from Tarlac to Manila with my brother. We left Tarlac at exactly 2:30AM and arrived 4:30AM (dang it was too early) we decided to eat breakfast to kill the time..(i'm glad we did ate breakfast because it took a long time to get it done).. we went to the USEM at 5:30AM and by surprise there was a long line but the immigrant, non-immigrant and sea farer has different lines so don't worry bout it and besides they don't really follow the number it depends on how fast your eyes is so you need to watch your number or else you'll be sorry..lol..it also depends on your paper because they still review it one more time before u get interviewed..
ok let's go down to a detailed one
FIRST, u need to follow the line for the immigra... read complete review

Hello everyone. Finally got the chance to post my experience here, but I won't go into details with the waiting time outside the embassy, guess it will be the same for almost everyone here

Now here what I went through (hope I won't bore you hehe) There were actually 6 steps/windows:

1st window: this is right after the embassy's entrance. Docs to hand in : DS 156 (2copies), DS 156K(1copy) and DS 157(2 copies)and BPI receipt. Embassy staff stapled it all together with a number slip on top, I was given a slip too. I was asked to go inside the embassy's building and to drop it in one of the windows (i'm not sure if i remember the window number right, so rather not mention it)

2nd window : where i dropped the DS forms that I've mentioned above.

***Start of the long wait***
After almost 3hours, 3rd window : Asked to say my full name and date of Birth out loud, then fingerprinting.
