It was such a pleasant experience for me despite the presence of the tropical storm: Labuyo. Checked in at Casa Bocobo; took my breakfast and headed to embasssy. Arrived at 630; it took only within the first hour (around 7-8am) for me to finish my biometrics and the filipino staff interview. waited 3.5 hrs for my consul interview which took about 7 minutes only. Basic questions were asked: how we met, when will i bring my kid over to the US, commonalities, etc. Consul informed me my visa is approved. That's when i started to get frantic--coz i don't know where to put my happiness and I know I have to behave inside the embassy. Was out by 1145 and practically screaming, thank you Lord, as I head to the exit.

A lil background about my case and ourselves wife is a USC and we have a year old baby also a USC. Met wifey personally through a family friend in 2003. In the periods of 2008-2011, I applied for a tourist visa 4 times, 2 attempts for personal reasons, 2attempts were due to work. Only the third attempt was successful and the last attempt obviously was not. Hookay on with the timeframe...

Gema had to go to the interview alone because sadly I was not able to attend due to work off time and more directly finance strains it would put on us to book a round trip for me.
She arrived at the embassy around 6:30am for 7:30am appointment and waited till almost 7:30 before being moved inside and asked for the standard forms.
2 copies DS156, 2 copies DS157, passport etc.
After moving inside she waited about an hour for her biometric screening which went smooth of course and then more waiting.
Soon she was called over to a Filina prescreener who asked her for her documents and ask how we met. Gema went through the whole story and then the only other questions was "what else?" which was odd because it wasnt a question. She had answered the how we met and how long we have known each other. Gema just elaborated more on the story of us and after a few more "what else?" repeats the Filipina asked for the I-134... read complete review
