At USEM interview on 16 Nov. No HK police clearance. Provided USEM interviewer emails from HK police stating date mailed and postal tracking number. Interviewer stated it takes 4-6 weeks before they'll receive it. We have been approved, however they still require the HK police clearance to make our package complete. Our status was Administrative Processing and we are not required to return to the USEM. Fiancée and daughter left their passports so visas can be affixed. notified. The actual interview was very relaxed and civil. That really helped. We saw/heard other interviews around us that made us cringe. I believe it really helped my fiancée that I was able to fly back to be with her for the interview. It calmed her and the interviewer struck up a brief conversation.

28 Nov status changed to Ready.

1 Dec status changed to Issued.

8 Dec, picking up passports/visas.

9 Dec, CFO process.

13 Dec Arr... read complete review

I never expected the quick approval of our case, we only waited for 55 days. However it took me a long while to schedule my Interview since I had to wait for my requested Certificate of Clearance from Singapore (I worked there for the past years), it took us 3weeks til I received it.
The interview was great! My console said she's new at the consolate and jusk asked me few questions like, "How long have you known each other?", "How did your Relationship started?". I brought a scrapbook containing our pictures with its captions, she viewed it and took a quite moment to read it too. She never ask anymore questions after that, instead she asked for an updated w2 and ITR of my fiance which fortunately I had with me. Being prepared in the interview with complete papers that they would possibly ask you could really give you confidence. Thank God, I had an awesome console. Goodluck to every K1 applicant!

She said the process was quick and simple and everyone was so nice. The 1st person at pre screen asked to see the album.A few questions were asked of her son, which was, what is his name?, has her son met me in person, when did I visit and so forth. Then Ella's interview were asked simple questions, such as what I'd my job in the military?, where did we meet, have we met in peon, , how long have we been together? The documents that she brought with her, the consular did not need but it shows to always be prepared.

Interview date was 12/13/2016
Interview was very smooth and the staff were very friendly. ****If you have worked abroad in the last five years get your COC (certificate of clearance) started as soon as possible. This step cost us more than a month of time. When we finally received a certificate from Singapore, it had the wrong dates, even though they just had to COPY the dates we sent them. They had to send a second document.***** Suggestions for a smooth interview: 1) Arrive on time, 2) Have your documents ready including the copies of what was submitted to USCIS, 3) SMILE and be friendly. The staff was friendly and willing to help with questions. Good luck and God bless.

My fiance had to fly from Mindanao to Manila for her scheduled interview. She had to take a few days off from her work schedule as an elementary school teacher. She did not want to fly there alone, so I purchased a ticket for her and her niece. I also reserved 2 nights in a hotel near the US consulate. They had a relative living in Manila, so the relative met them and showed them around Manila. My fiance does not like Manila, because of the bad reputation for crime.
I was in the USA, so I had to make all the arrangements from here. I sent them some money using Xoom, to pay for taxi and food while in Manila.
The interview went well and she is now living here in California as my wife. We are applying for a green card.javascript:emoticon('')
