So here's my review of my husband's visa journey. I traveled with him all the way to the window.

We arrived at the parking lot around 6 am (if you want to be the first one, have a driver drop you off or else wait if you want to). We had to wait in car line until 6 and then we went in. after parking, we went and stood in the bus ticket line (which was one) and there were 2 people working behind counter. I showed my US passport and my hubby his passport and we got our ticket. we stood in security line and then as soon as we stood there, buses started to come so were like 39 person to climb in. After 20 mins ride, we arrived at the embassy and again stood in line for entrance. People with US passport were going in, especially the petitioners. we were given a token (there were many relative immigrant visa people it seems). The Pakistani guy up in the front was all smiley when he asked if I was the petitioner and came to pick him up and i laughed saying yes. He stapled our t... read complete review

My husband had his interview on sept.23 2016 at the us embassy in islamabad pakistan.
The interview went great. But in the end they asked my husband for a divorce certificate from my previous marriage. We had already submitted all the documents. After they saw the submitted documents they told him that they don't accept these because they dont look valid and they are not sure about the divorce.Though the documents were 100% valid. So they told my husband to grt the divorce certificate from union council/nadra or an usa court. Since ee got married in azad kashmir. In kashmir nadra and the union council do not provide with these documents. And i cannt give them any documents from the us because my husband from previous marriage never came to the u.s . My previously marriage was arranged which i was not happy with so i ended that relationship right away n had not applied for that guy to come here. After my husband told them the whole story in detail they said ok we dont need any do... read complete review

The Interview was very simple and straightforward...I petitioned for my husband... The day of interview, he got to the Islamabad enclave around 6:40 and boarded the shuttle soon after. Then the shuttle took him to the embassy. He got in line. They called him to the window for his fingerprints, then they asked him for the Nikka nama and medical exam documents. He was asked if he prefers the interview be conducted in English or Urdu. He picked Urdu. Then he was called in for his interview. Officer asked "How are you?"
Then, "Who is calling you to America"
" What does your wife do?"
"Where does she live(city)"
"Did you bring any pictures"
Officer looked at pictures. " When was your wedding"
"What do you do for a living"? Then he said your visa is approved and you can pick it up in 10 days at a Karachi office. Make sure to take all original civil documents like Nikka Nama, Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate, Translations. Also it's impo... read complete review

My fiancé had his interview on September 21st, his interview lasted more than 30 mins, and in the end was put in AP, he said his CO was rude and didn't seem interested in what he had to say, wasn't paying much attention to him. He asked him a lot of questions about me, my family, my children, where we met, and why we didn't meet in Pakistan? He further told the CO I felt it wasn't safe. My fiancé said the CO didn't agree and seemed irritated by his answer. Over all his interview went good, they took his passport & gave him a white AP slip and told him our case needed further processing, & it would be a few weeks. To anyone going for their interview, be prepared, it's not as easy as you think. Good luck to all.

Very bad experience, it was too crowded and the officer seemed like he was just rushing and was furious for some reason or frustrated for some reason.
