We need good advice, please. Our journey, despite COVID, has been good - that is until the interview at the US Consulate in Nigeria.

Our first interview was on January 11, 2021. My husband arrived, waited for a couple of hours, was called to a window. The CO told him that his interview had been rescheduled to February 1, 2020. We never received any notification. His email was verified and beyond frustration, my husband left the Consulate, checked out of his hotel, and traveled home (about a 6-hour ride). So, we've been planning now for February 1, 2021 - no letter ever received, just the note made by the CO on his January interview letter.

Today, I received an email that our interview was rescheduled to March 1, 2021. The letter said, 'this has been rescheduled by the Consulate for administrative reasons.' Three different interviews, two reschedules are painful. We've come so far and no... read complete review

Was fairly organized. CO my husband dealt with was straight forward. Wasn’t rude but was very organized and interview went quick. My husband did have to wait outside in a line for a few hours before going through security and being given a number. Once number was received he was seen within 35 minutes. We weee placed on administrative review for documents to verify my husbands identity from at least ten to fifteen years prior. (Wish they had told us it was a requirement ahead of time) we could have brought it.

Husband IR1 interview went well. They asked him who petitioned him, where was I born, my job, and does he or I have children, as well as our ages. I am several years older. We married on the first visit and I visited twice for lengthy periods of time after that. I am sure that helped our case.
The CO placed our case on Administrative Process until my husband brings them a form of identification that is at least 10 years old. All other documents were accepted. They didn't even ask for pictures and chats or anything. However, I did front load everything and it helped. His interview was about 10 minutes. he will mail in his identification card tomorrow at the drop off center stated on the paper they gave him.
I hope we don't stay in AP for too long. Wishing you all the best

I arrived the U.S embassy, Lagos Nigeria at 9:10AM, my interview was for 11A.M. At about 10AM, they started calling people in but they could only do 1 or 2 at a time because of Social distancing. I got called at about 10:40AM or so, I waited my turn to submit my civil documents and DS-260 confirmation page I recently filled. I did finger print and waited my turn to be called for Interview. I was interviewed by a beautiful Consular Officer in window 4. After she took my file, it took about 10mins before she called me, it felt like forever because I was seeing her go through it. Then she called my name.

CO: Good morning, Can I see your face? You can put the mask back on.
I took the oath and she said your application is pretty straight forward, i will ask you a few questions.
Tell me how you met?
Where did he take you to?
When did you get pregnant? Oh so you got pregnant before the wedding, okay.
Did any of his family come for the wedding... read complete review
