We had our interview on 31st July at Mumbai Consulate. We had finished biometric process at Delhi almost 3 weeks before the interview.
Our interview was scheduled at 8:30 and we reached the consulate at 8:00. There was a long queue of people waiting outside. We were let in immediately when I mentioned immigrant visa category. Just keep passports and a copy of interview letter outside for security people to check. Inside, first one person from the group has to get into a line to get a token number. After getting the token number, we had to wait in the waiting area. There were a couple of consulate people who were arranging everyone's papers according to the token numbers. Our turn to arrange papers came after almost 30 mins and then there was some more wait time before our token number was displayed and we went for document check.
There was an Indian lady on the counter who checked our documents. She confirmed our names, DOB, address, petitione... read complete review

K1 Embassy Interview
Horrendous Experience.
Inappropriate Questioning to beneficiary. Race, Gender, Age, and Human Rights Violation and Discrimination.
The CO Assistant had the mobile phone retrieved from the beneficiary's Father who was waiting outside. No mobile phones are allowed in the building. She called random family members from the phone without permission to do so. This is illegal.
The CO Assistant used Facebook as a means of ineligibility. Facebook is not a legal binding document or letter of intent to marry.
No one from the Embassy has responded to my requests for information.

Before I start, I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for His mercy and His grace upon us.
I stayed at a hotel near the Domestic airport. Arranged a taxi for travel needs. Always make sure you leave the hotel or the place you stay a hour before because you cannot predict the traffic in Mumbai city.
My biometric interview was on 4th August at the VAC near the consulate. My appointment time was 10am. I reached VAC at 9:30. They called 10 AM appointments and formed a line outside the building and asked to wait, while a lady came outside and checked our DS 260 confirmation page. The documents that are required for the biometric are
1. Passport
2. DS-260 confirmation page,
3. Biometric appointment letter
4. Two 2"x 2" white background photos
Once you are inside the building, your papers are checked and your interview time is verified by an Indian officer. Once you have cleared you will be sent to individual counte... read complete review
