We left our homes around 5.30 and did not get to the Embassy until around 6.20! There was already a big line waiting and we did not try to bypass it as we needed to calm down a bit (especially me) LOL. By 6.40, we were already at Checkpoint 2 to go into the security area. After a 25 minutes wait in line, we arrived at the Consulate's waiting area. We were told where to sit and waited our turn. Finally at 8.30 exactly, we were called at the first window to check in. The girl wasn't too nice, but she wasn't too bad either. She freaked me out when she said that I was missing my tax return transcripts! Thank goodness we brought a copy and she accepted them along with some new pictures. She asked a couple questions and at 8.40 we were able to return to the second waiting area (same room, just a different part.) As we were flipping through the documents that were returned to us, we realized that the original Tax transcripts were included and that she probably added them by mistake. There was... read complete review

We arrived to the embassy 5 minutes before 7. We were already inside by 7am and the wait began. When he was finally called, around 10 o'clock, a friendly lady (CO) asked him for 2 additional photos. He stated that he had already sent everything to Haiti messenger. The lady then said that they will need it and that otherwise she will have to schedule the interview for March '13. My fiancé asked her to give him a pass and that he will take them nearby and bring them to her. Surprisingly enough, she agreed. We left the embassy with a pass and he was given 6 horrible but precious passport pictures - due to the circumstances - for 400 HTG or almost $10 US. We went to the embassy and gave the photos. He was called 10 minutes later for fingerprints and another wait began.
At 12:20 pm, he was called. The lady was extremely nice to us. She asked who i was. My fiance answered. She had us both swear that we have been telling the truth and will do so today. My fiancé was given the paper... read complete review

We arrived at the US Embassy close to 6:30 am. After having my fiance's name checked off the list of interviews and going through security, we arrived inside the waiting room. We immediately went up to the window where a very pleasant woman started looking through our documents and giving things back. We presented the joint sponsor information, and she immediately said it wasn't enough. My heart sank. I started to point out some things to explain to her, and she remarked "this is not a debate." I was afraid to say anything else, but nicely asked her to continue looking at our co-sponsor's documents. She finally started highlighting things and making notes for the CO and said it was up to the CO to accept the information presented. She was really nice and pleasant despite the debate comment, and I was really happy she highlighted and marked relevant parts of the I-134 supporting documents.

Next, my fiance had his fingerprints taken. Then the agonizing wait began. We wait... read complete review
