So we arrived around 7:30am and waited across the street. My husband appointment was scheduled at 8am. At 7:45 they called his name and a few others and instructed us to go to line 3. Like others have mentioned there is a women to check your documents

I'll start off with the medical exam. My fiancee visited Dr. Jairo H. Roa about a week and a half to two weeks before our interview. Took her two days to complete the medical exam, sounded like it was pretty straight forward. She needed to get back to work and couldn't stay the third day so we were told we could pick up the results the day before our interview.
Here's where it got tricky. Our interview was scheduled Tuesday, June 25th, so we were going to pickup the medical results Monday, June 24th. What we didn't realize was it was a national holiday in Colombia (my fiancees work doesn't get off Colombian holidays so she didn't realize it until one of the employees at the hotel mentioned it to us) and that meant the medical office was closed. Our interview appointment was scheduled for 8:00 AM and they wouldn't open until 10:00 AM. Panicking that we wouldn't have the medical exam in time for the interview, we came up with an idea that we would call the receptionist at ... read complete review

We arrived early and were literally the first ones in line when the embassy opened. Our documents were checked twice; they did require a copy of my (US citizen fiance) 2018 taxes which luckily I brought along. They looked at my US birth certificate but then said I didn't need it and handed it back. I was allowed to approach the interview window with my fiance. The interview was extremely thorough, even though we had tons of relationship evidence (been together since 2015 and lived together since 2017). They asked my fiancé all types of very detailed questions about my job, my parents, etc. Basically every question that you see on any "K1 interview question" list, they asked. Of course, my fiance could answer them all with no problem, but I think those questions could be challenging for a couple that hasn't been together as long. By the end of the interview, the official was joking around with my fiance, talking about places he had to go visit in the US. Naturally, we thought we were... read complete review

ASC Appointment:
My wife had a Saturday (10:15 AM) appointment. We got there around 9:30 AM and basically just got in in line and was ushered in, where all the documents were reviewed. Waited for about 20 minuted until it was my turn. They asked for her passport and DS-260 confirmation, they put a sticker on it. They asked who was petitioning her and took her fingerprints. They then reminded her of her consular interview appointment time. That was it.
Consular Interview Appointment:
We attended this appointment together. We were called in about 45 minutes early (7:15). They checked all the documents before passing through security and placed a sticker on the both of us. We then passed through airport-like security and were sent to another document-check station. We were asked to take a seat and waited for about 10 minutes before being called to window. The lady took all of my wife's documents and organized them. She also opened the medical paperwork and sca... read complete review

Laboratory: We arrived at 6:45 and the laboratory opened it's doors around 7:10, we were 7th in line. They only let the visa applicant go inside. Before going inside the personnel was checking to make sure everyone had their passport, copy of their passport, and passport picture. Around 4 people didn't make it past the first checkpoint because they were missing one or more documents, the good news is that there was place that made copies around the corner so they left and came back. One inside, the secretary picked up the passports in the order we arrived. My wife was called in order and had to write her case number and doctor's name on the copy of our passport, then she was asked to sit and wait. She was then called (again, in order) to go do a urinalysis, then directly to go get blood drawn. Again, she was sent to the waiting area to wait to be called for the chest x-ray. After that, she was done and they said it would be sent to the doctor's office. She had the medical they same aft... read complete review
