Bogota, Colombia | Review on July 16, 2019: | Stubmeister

As I was asked, I will tell about my fiance's (and children) experience at the embassy at Bogota. They went to Bogota a week early because of the vaccinations and medical exams. Also she needed to obtain a police report and her son's school transcripts since he was recently graduated from high school. Her interview was about 45 minutes long. I couldn't attend do to my work requirements. She said the woman quizzed her very much about my family, my 4 sisters in particular, and very keen on my son's upcoming marriage, (apparently they do their homework and must have checked out my son's FB account. How else would they have known?). Many of the questions were regarding my sister's names and their status, (two are dead). They asked about who I work for and what is my job. They asked how long I was a HAZMAT tech and certified firefighter, (government certificates). So they were thorough about me. They asked her son what he wanted to do when he came to the US. His intent is to join the Navy and earn his college degree while serving. They told him that he needed to register with the Selective Service within 30 days of his arrival. His interview was only about 5 minutes. They wanted an authenticated copy of my divorce, (which I didn't know they would request it since they already had a copy when I filed my I-129F!). So I would advise to give that to your beneficiary for proof since they CAN request it. At the end of the interview, they said all is good and they would issue the visas as soon as they receive my divorce decree, in the meantime, we are in an administrative process 221(g). It seems my fiance was not the only person without that document. She said there were 3 others there that suffered the same fate.
