My appointment was at 9:00 and I got there around 8:15. They gave me a laminated sheet with the order of documents I needed to hand in along with a number that would be used to call my turn. They called my number at 9:30 and they asked for my documents and I got fingerprinted. I went and sat back down and was then called up at 11:00 for my interview. It was at a window where I just stood. The man asked me how we met, when we got engaged, how long I spent in the States when I visited, and what my husband does for work. Then he gave me my welcome letter and said congratulations.

Had my interview today. Everyone was super helpful and nice. Arrived at US consulate at 7:10 am. Doors opened at 7:20 am. I was fifth in line. My interview was scheduled at 8:00 a.m. Once you enter, you check in, receive a handout with the order you are required to submit your documents in. Arranged documents and then took elevator to the 19th floor. I was called up and met with a kind woman who obtained and reviewed my documents one at a time. She entered some data and then told me that first step was complete and documents were all in order. I sat back down and waited to get called for my interview. I swore an oath and another nice lady asked me how my husband and I met, the first time he came to visit me and the longest I’ve ever stayed in the USA followed by a few standard questions about ever being denied entry etc. Once that was done, she handed me a sheet of paper and with a huge smile told me that I was approved. Only issue now, Canada Post is on strike and so the retur... read complete review

If you're prepared this will be the easiest part of the journey. My interview was on October 17th. To start off, the Consulate is like on the side of a main street, if our Uber driver didn't point it out we wouldn't have noticed it. Although there was already a line up outside. The security guard was nice enough, he slowly let people in when it was time for your interview. There is a person at the entrance who looks at your passport, puts a sticker on the back, gives you a laminated piece of paper. Then you go though "airport" security, you empty your jacket pockets of everything, put all your belongings into a box, goes through. You get a ticket for your electronics, keep this with you.
First everyone was told to go downstairs and wait in a room, here you can organize your paperwork the laminated paper will tell you what you need. Then the guard will tell you when you can go upstairs - you take the elevator up to the 19th floor. The view is awesome.

It was a pretty short and seamless experience if you are prepared. I actually think I was over prepared, because I didn’t even need to show them half the documents I brought, but I think it’s smart to bring as much evidence as you can just encase they request it. I entered the building at 8:15am for my appointment at 8:30am. I was greeted by an officer who asked for my passport, she then gave me a laminated sheet with a number on it and instructions of the order of specific documents you need to have ready before your appointment. I went through security and then took the elevator to the 19th floor. I sat in the waiting room for around 45 minutes before they called my number and was instructed to go to a specific window. The woman there then asked for the documents that were listed on the laminated sheet, asked me a few questions to make sure the information from my file was still up to date, and then took my finger prints and I was instructed to go sit back down and wait... read complete review
