Had my interview today. Everyone was super helpful and nice. Arrived at US consulate at 7:10 am. Doors opened at 7:20 am. I was fifth in line. My interview was scheduled at 8:00 a.m. Once you enter, you check in, receive a handout with the order you are required to submit your documents in. Arranged documents and then took elevator to the 19th floor. I was called up and met with a kind woman who obtained and reviewed my documents one at a time. She entered some data and then told me that first step was complete and documents were all in order. I sat back down and waited to get called for my interview. I swore an oath and another nice lady asked me how my husband and I met, the first time he came to visit me and the longest I’ve ever stayed in the USA followed by a few standard questions about ever being denied entry etc. Once that was done, she handed me a sheet of paper and with a huge smile told me that I was approved. Only issue now, Canada Post is on strike and so the return of my passport with my stamped visa is uncertain I was done before 9:00 a.m. and did not spend more than 10 minutes at each window and with each person. The experience was pleasant and not intimidating at all.
