Since we'd waited so long, we'd been married for 2+ years, so our visa automatically changed to an IR2 (instead of IR1/CR1). Interview went very favorably. We had everything lined up and no issues with anything. Our police check had expired and we didn't get a new one in time, but they allowed us to submit online, which we did the same day, since it came only 1 day late. The visa arrived via courier service 4 days after interview.

My interview was Sept 23rd at 10:15am and I arrived on time, they scanned all my things and sent me upstairs. I talked with a smiley guy behind a glass wall. He was wearing a mask of course but his eyes were smiling lol. Everyone was very friendly actually! He asked for my original docs one at a time. Didn’t ask for the financial stuff at all, not even the i864. Just passport, 2 photos, birth certificate, marriage certificate, and police certificate. They didn’t ask for any photos or any of those details at all. After they took my original docs I waited for about an hour. Just waited lol. Finally they called my name over the intercom and I was SO EXCITED 😆 I LITERALLY JUMPED UP! Lol 😂 when I went around the corner to the lady behind a glass she said “Hi!†I said “Hi, I am SO happy to see you!†Lol 😂 She laughed and said “What happened, were you one of the ones who got cancelled originally?â€Â I said â€... read complete review

It was a very quick interview. 3 questions
1) how did you meet your spouse
2) when did you meet your spouse
3) what was the longest stay in the USA, 3 months during covid
Congratulations, everything is in order, welcome to the USA

After original interview was canceled due to covid, I patiently (and impatiently) waited.
My overall experience was quick! Everyone I encountered was pleasant and friendly!
First I was processed just like airport security after being allowed in and screened by a lady.. I was directed to the 1st floor where I was told I could go right to a booth. He took my sealed medical and most of my original copies of birth certificate marriage certificate my divorce certificate from previous marriage. Then I sat for about 30 mins and was called to the next booth where I was asked to swear all I submitted was true. Then he asked how and when I met my husband. I think it helped having very good evidence submitted with original application (joint bank accounts- I am on the quick deed for our home also and so on)
Overall I am very happy with my day there. I wish them all the best especially during times such as these
