Well, I am not sure what I have to add to the accurate and comprehensive review of Vancouver by Piefre (dated October 6, 2011). A+, Piefre, and thanks for your efforts.
Me: USC
Him: Canadian PR/Egyptian citizen
ON SCHEDULING:
1. We were coming in from Edmonton, so we elected to complete the medical exam two days prior to the interview. This way we could go to the consulate with all documents in hand. That was a low-stress way to do it, and I would recommend it.
2. It was difficult to find reasonable lodging in Vancouver. Hint: AirBNB.com ... We rented a basement suite from Lamar Mali for a week for $300, less than half of what we could find for hotels in the area. Great location, nice quiet neighborhood, ~20 min drive from the consulate/Woking, and an excellent (and helpful) property manager. Tell him that Michael and Amy sent ya.

The interview was on Wednesday Nov. 23rd at 8 AM. (Yesterday)
I had my medical on Nov. 18th (Friday) at;
Dr. Howard Seiden & Associates
Sanagex Medicine du Travail
5345 Blvd L’Assomption # 115
Montreal, QC H1T 4B3
Total Cost $260 CDN
I went back to pick up my results the following Tuesday around 2:30 PM (which I was instructed to do.)
My Fiance (Petitioner) and I stayed at Le Square Phillipe Hotel, which was recommended on this site. It was the best place to stay over night. The rate was reasonable, they provided a complementary breakfast, and it included parking for an extra 22 bucks. The best thing about this hotel was that it is literally one block away from the US Embassy.
The morning of the interview it started snowing ( ) but it was not such big deal since we had such a short walk to the Embassy. We had a breakfast and headed out at 7:35 AM. The funny thing i... read complete review

Arrived at the consulate at 6:20am. Another couple showed up at about 6:35am and then another about about 6:45am. After that people started showing up more regular. At about 7:30am a guard came and opened up the door and let us inside to security. At security they let us go through one at a time taking off coats etc. They instructed me to walk downstairs and wait in the room. I sat down to the left of the elevator. At about 8am they piled us in the elevator. I stayed to the left in the back. Once the doors opened we went left and stood in a line for 14B. We waited there about 15 minutes before anyone showed up in the booth. It could have been because of the snow. The lady at 14B gave me C1 and I sat in the middle of the waiting area in front of the screen. At about 8:45am I was called to window 10 on the screen. At the window he asked for my medical, passport, and payment confirmation then told me to have a seat back int he waiting room until they called me again. At abo... read complete review

We had a very pleasant time at the Consulate in Montreal Of course we did we got APPROVED! So lets start from the begining.
Our appointment was for 9am and we decided to get to the consulate a little after 7am. Once we got there it was about 715am and we got in line for the chilly wait. We were about 8th in line. I am not honestly sure what time the guards open the door because we didn't have our cellphones so I will take a guess at about 745am.
Once the doors opened the guard allowed one person/couple in at a time and then the rejections started. There were 3 people ahead of us who had various rejections at the door. No confirmation page, too big of a bag ect. Luckily enough we had all of our stuff in order and we got in about 10 minutes after the doors opened. Once inside a woman asked to see my passport and my appointment page then my fiance and I moved onto the scanner. It's pretty much just like an airport.. take off your jacket n... read complete review
