We arrived at the Consulte at 630am and we were the 2nd people in line. At about 7 o'clock is when we were joined by another, and it seemed to be a steady stream up to the time the doors opened. Please note that even though the time on the door says 8 o'clock, they open their doors at 730am and allow people to come in and wait until the consulte elevator opens at 8 o'clock. We originally lined up on the right side, but once the officer started unlocking the door he instructed us to line up on the left.
The allow one person in at a time, ask for your interview letter and put a sticker on your passport. From there you go through security. NOTE: Do not bring any large bags or purses. We both had our wallets and passports + our K-1 stuff. Nothing else. Leave everything you can at your hotel, there were many people that were turned away because of this.
Once through security, you walk down some stairs to the elevator. Sit as close as you can to the door and once... read complete review

MEDICAL (Medisys, 500 Sherbrooke West, Montreal):
I had my appointment on September 13th 2012 at 9am. When I first got there the receptionnist asked me for my interview letter, passport, shots record and 3 passport sized pictures (I brought US size pictures as I wasn't sure and it seems like it was alright). Then I sat down for about 30min and I was called to Dr. Alain Dubois' office. He looked in my ears, inside my mouth, knee reflex, he pressed on my abdomen, osculted my heart and lungs, took my blood pressure. He asked me if I ever was in a big accident which I had never been. Then I was sent back to the waiting room. I waited for about 15min and was called again this time for the X-Ray. I was then sent back to the waiting room again After waiting 20 more minutes, I was called by a nurse who had me read something on the wall, took my weight and height, got a blood draw and verified if I needed any more shots. And I did... my dTap (Tetanus, Dyphteria, Pertu... read complete review

That morning I tried being there at 6h30 but ended up arriving at 6h50 or so. There were two people in line before me.
You'll tell if you're at the right place because you should see a bunch of people just holding a file in their hands.
Some people arrived after, with bigger bags.
I was worried because when the guard opened the door, he put up a sign that listed all things you cannot bring in with you. A cellphone was listed among them.
I asked him as I went in, and he said it was ok.
You enter the building one person/couple at a time.
Left right after entering a woman will ask you for your confirmation letter and your passeport. She will take the loomis number I believe, write it on a sticker, and put it on the back of your passeport.
Then come the guards. Kind of scary. Try to avoid asking questions. I was kind of confused as to who would give me a number as I read something about a ticket # here.
The guards wil... read complete review

I had my interview on September 11th and it was so simple! I was nervous for no reason at all
I arrived at 6:30am and I was the first one there. I stupidly forgot to bring a sweater and it was chilly out so I decided to go to the Tim Horton's around the corner to get a coffee. By the time I came back, around 6:45, there was a man and a couple in line. We waited until 7:30 on the nose, the guard came out and opened the door. DO NO BRING ANY BAGS! The first man in line had a small laptop sized briefcase and they said it was too big and refused to let him in. If you want to breeze in and out make sure you carry as little as possible. I had my paperwork in a plastic folder, a wristlet and a book to help pass the time. The guard let the couple and myself inside the doors where were were asked by a woman sitting on the left hand side to show our PASSPORT, INTERVIEW LETTER, and LOOMIS CONFIRMATION PAGE. She wrote my DHL reference number on a sticker and put ... read complete review

My wife had her interview on September 11 and I accompanied her, as we are both living in Toronto.
Stayed at Hotel Zero 1 which was about a 7 minute walk to the Consulate and we were second in line behind one man when we arrived at 6:45. Just after 7:30, they opened the door (were about a dozen people behind us at this point), a guard came out, and informed the man in front of us his bag was too large. He then waved my wife and I inside, so we were first in the building! Right inside the door was a lady who asked to see my wife's appointment letter, passport, and Loomis confirmation. She also asked to see my passport and, as a US citizen, I had no problems being let inside. Then we went through a metal detector. Much better than the airport; shoes stay ON!! Were then told to go down some steps and wait by the elevator. At 8:00, guard from the metal detector came and took down a barrier that was in front of the elevator, let people on, and told us to push the bu... read complete review
