Arrived at the Consulate at 7:00 am., there were two people already inline. At 7:30 the guards came and opened the doors. You are allowed in one at time where you show your confirmation letter and passport . Your loomis tracking number is then written on a sticker and placed on the back of your passport. You then go through security screening and are told to go down stairs and sit in the waiting area. When enough people have gathered there, the security guard comes and escorts you in the elevator and send you to the 14th floor. The back of the elevator doors open. You will then head to the left to the first counter where she will ask for your payment confirmation and passport, she will hand you to tickets. They called our numbers in order. So C1 went to window one. etc... I was C3 i was asked for my Affidavit of Support, original birth certificate, police certificate, letter or intent to marry, passport photos and a my passport and she took my fingerprints She then told me to have a seat and I would be called up for my interview. 5 minutes later my number was called. Walked up to wicket 9 and was asked to raise my right hand and was sworn in. She then proceeded to ask where did you and your fiancee meet, and to tell me about your relationship. I told her how often we travel to see one another and that and when we got engaged. She had me sign the DS-156 and said I will be approving your visa and handed me my welcome to America Letter and said your passport would be returned to you to the Loomis location you had selected. Done! I was back at the hotel by 8:45 am/ Overall, no where near as nerve wracking as I thought it would be. Just make sure you have all your documents in order and you'll be fine. Staff was very pleasent.
