Sorry for the late review have been super busy!!!!
Medical- I had my interview date scheduled on Sept 24, so knowing that I needed 3 day processing for results, I took my girlfriends with me to make a trip out of it as my husband couldn’t make it!! Anyways, the medical was very simple. MAKE SURE you have your up to date vaccine shots. My medical was at Mediseys, and it only cost me $238.00!!! That’s also because I had everything updated!!! They take your x-ray, blood tests, and then the physical the doctor checked my ears, eyes, lungs, stomach. VERY SIMPLE. I got an awesome doctor very funny and very nice. I give this experience and 10/10!!
INTERVIEW-I got to the consulate about 7 and there was about 5 people ahead of me, I think most of them were VJ’s. I started talking to a really nice woman, it helped to calm my nerves (lol). I highly suggest not to bring anything with you expect for your forms. I only brought my binder, hotel key and money for cab. SERIOUSLY you do not need anything else!!! The security guard lets one person at a time, once you get in a lady puts your loomis # on the back of your passport the you go through security, pretty straight forward, you then go down stairs and wait in the waiting are. The security guard opens the elevator.(please note that some people are VERY RUDE and literally will push you to get on, I wanted to freak out lol). When you get on the floor you pick a #, this number is not called in ORDER. (I’m not too sure why). The first window you’re called to is very simple, they ask for your originals, and any forms you did not submit online, and then finger prints. You asked to be seated and your number will be called again. Literally not even 10 minutes later I was called. I WAS SO NERVOUS I thought I was going to vomit. I got the black lady that everyone talked about on here (SUPER NICE) she asked how I was doing and I told her I was extremely nervous, she don’t be, read this to calm your nerves. I read the oath and I could feel my voice shaking. She was going through the forms and asked how my husband and I met. Then wanted me to tell her about our relationship up until now, as she was looking at forms I kind of made small talk with her saying her job must be really interesting with all the stories she gets to hear, and she said loved her job and its very interesting. All of sudden she stamped and paper and said “congratulations your approved” it happened so fast I didn’t really know what going on at first, I started to tear up and thanked her and said she made my life I can finally be with my husband she smiled and said “I told you not to be nervous”
If you have all the forms in order and make sure the originals and copies are with you. You WILL BE FINE. She didn’t even ask for any pictures or any evidence of the relationship whatsoever!! I don’t know if my husband and I were just lucky, but this was the easiest thing I have done through this whole process. And big thanks to SAYLIN, even thought I had a lawyer saylin was more helpful than anyone!!!!
GOOD LUCK VJ”s
