We got to the consulate at about 6:55am, and it was unbearably cold. A few others showed up soon after, and we all huddled in the doorway. This caused some confusion when we were let in at 7:30, like people just trying to go in first. Everyone ended up lining up properly when the consulate worker made us back away from the door before he would open it.

The worker inside the front door checked her list and didn't find us on it. Luckily, we had our email confirmation. We went through security with no problem. There were people behind us who had backpacks, so I don't know how that turned out, but they came in much later than us.

We went downstairs to get a seat next to the elevator. At 8am (I guess) someone came in and let everyone into the elevator. We went right for the back, but people were pushing their way in front of my fiance. In hindsight, it didn't really make much of a difference.

We got out of the elevator and went to the left. Pre... read complete review

Montreal consulate K1 Visa interview experience. I was there at 7am, gate open at 7:30. I was second in line. She asked the Loomis, passport, appointment letter. Then the famous Elevator wait, then getting the C number i got C3. Window 3, she asked for birthcertificate original and copy, receipt, affidavit of support , w2 . Then wait , window 9 called for my number, this is the part where he asked question about the relationship. He asked, when and where did you meet, what are your common interest, where does he work and he do ,why it takes you so long to decide to get married!! ( 8 years) . Then he looked on all the papers then said!,, CONGRATULATIONS!!
I was out in the consulate 8:50. The total interview both windows 15 minutes top!
Few people there was sent back to get more documents. I think its their loomis number.

My husband and I got to the consulate early in the morning, around 6:30 AM, ending up second in the line. Waited about an 1 or so, once security guard open the door entering one at a time, the first thing they checked was our passports and Loomis number (Make sure you have this printed otherwise they send you back as it happened to a couple of people and they lost their line). After this you proceed through security (nothing is basically allowed like purses or briefcases except the documents so just bring in a plastic bag or something). After this you go down the stairs and wait by the elevator. The security guard will come open the elevator and send you to the 19th floor. Once there head left towards cashiers counter to pick up ticket/token number. From there you get seated and they will call out your number and to which window to proceed. The first interview is just to give originals and make sure of name, address, phone number and they take fingerprints. After this, you get seated a... read complete review

Showed up at the Consulate at 6ish am and no one was there so went to Tim Hortons a block up the road to get a drink and bite to eat and came back to no one being in line. First in line. Doors opened around 730am. Girl at the front put a sticker with my Loomis Reference ID on my passport. Proceeded to wait in the room wait for the elevator. Back of the elevator to floor 19,wicket 14 to get a ticket and got C2.Waited to be called for the lady at the window to take the information needed. Gave her my updated DS-230 as well as the original and a photocopy of my birth certificate, fiance's letter of intent as well as the I-134. Lady also took Medical results. The lady was very nice and kind. Then back into the seats to wait for the interview. To preface this I thought that it was going to be a formal interview with chairs, an interrogation room, etc. Got called up to window 8 where we got the lady with the dreadlocks. She asked some simple questions. After this, she stated she was approvin... read complete review

Interview at February 19, 2013:
Was there at 7:00am and ended up 4th in line. When they opened the doors, the officer ushered in 4 people at a time. A woman asked for my Courier confirmation and passport and wrote the courier number on the back of the passport. Then we went up through security (which is just like the airport on a much smaller scale). The officer then directed me downstairs and said to wait.
It may have been 20 minutes or so when another officer came down and opened the elevator. (Sit as close as you can to the elevator - it helps!) He squished us all in and I was at the back left corner behind one other woman.
When the doors opened we followed the yellow arrows to the left and to the cashier who gave us tickets (I got C2!)
I was called up to window 2 not long after and gave her my passport, photos, original birth certificate, divorce certificate, marriage certificate and the original police certificate. She also asked for the original ... read complete review
