This is very strange i have heard about. Usually they ask all docs to be translated in English if the docs r in our native language. Do u have marriage certificate in native language coz i dont think now a days they issue any docs in native language unless asked for specially.....

Which part of India r u from??? I am frm Gujarat and i also hav submitted I-130 but i hav submitted mrg cert in english. They issue mrg cert in guj in english only....

I used Fed ex next day delivery n it was delivered at 10:30 mrng next day...after 3 days i got email regarding petition acceptance and i got the priority date of the day they rec the petition....i.e next day

so i would go for next day delivery option so that u get the earliest Priority Date

Thanks...Guys....yeah i hope for an earlier approval. On checking the processing times for Vermont the current date is March 2013, so it seems 8 months away....But the approval is random for F2A filers for their spouses....some get approval within a month ...some within 2-3 months and for some it takes a year.....so now lets see what happens......

Guys......i received E mail from USCIS regarding Petition Acceptance. Last night i received and in that my Receipt Number is also mentioned. My petition is forwarded to Vermont for processing and....it shows on case status online that they rec it on 15 Nov.....

Now jus to see how many days they take to process it...

we sent I-130 form on Oct 24th, it was accepted on Oct 28th, email notification arrived on Oct 30th.

No need to worry yet.

Thanksss Vlad77...I sent on Thursday..the package was delivered on Friday and today its Tuesday....so i think may be today or tomorrow i should receive an Email regarding Petition acceptance...

I filed on Nov 15th.....for my wife...Now waiting for Receipt Notice. Still not got email regarding e notification of petition acceptance. How many days they take to send email...?????

May b u should wait for couple of more days....if still nuthin shows then give them a call to inquire abt ur case....

Yeshhh the Petitioner receives all the correspondence from USCIS....Beneficiary will receive the communication from NVC when the petitioner will inform ur Email ID to NVC.....

Filed my case for F2A Spouse yesterday. Today checked on Fedex site and the package is delivered at Chicago Lockbox Facility. Now waiting for E Notification from USCIS...Is the priority date mentioned in Email notification..??

@ Puru444, marriage is off limits until u enter the U.S and get your GC. As in my case, it's better to get engaged to your GF and make plans to return from the U.S. in about 3 to 6 months to marry her AFTER receiving your GC. Cheers.

Hey Guys..HI....after a very long time...i am here back....I am in USA now doing well. Got Job, got my Driver's License...and evry thg is set now. I congratulate all my Fellow F1 guys who hav received their I/Ls for August Interviews.

For puru444, i advice u that if there is too much pressure on u..u can get engaged...but no marriage at all before ur interview. And ofcourse New Delhi is toughest Embassy as compared to Mumbai in India. I remember that one guy from New Delhi just said that his Marriage was on a hold i.e he could not marry coz he applied for F1 visa, he got 221G paper and after that he got visa after 3-5 months. U get engaged but during Interview don't dare to say the CO that u r engaged, they will dig thru that if u jus say this. So do wisely all the thgs in case of US Immigration.

Hey Tania, I got a package and my passport rubber-banned around the package.. i remove the passport but i am not to open the package! i am not sure maybe in the DR they do it differently... just give the embassy a call to check..

All my frds....myapologies for not posting on our F1 thread. Well..i rec my SSN and Driving Permit. Now waiting for my GC and today it showed the status as Card has been ordered for production, so hopefully by this week end or next week, i get my GC. I am applying for jobs so was busy past few days.

What was ur POE??? Dont wait for SSN to arrive, people wait for SSN to arrive but nuthin arrives. Better go at ur nearest SSN office and apply for SSN next day. Coz w/o SSN u cant do anythg in US. Its simple, just fill the form online, take printout and ur Passport and ur Birth Cert.

Regarding ur GC, it will arrive in mail in a month or so.

I also recently Immigrated here, my POE was Newark, EWR. I applied for SSN after 2 days and got it within a week. So i suggest u to apply for SSN as soon as possible.

Its about a month now i am here in US and i have obtained my SSN, Learner's Permit. Now just i am waiting for my Green Card to arrive.

Hi everyone. I've looked over the PA-DMV website and I'm a little confused. My wife entered the US as a K-1 fiancé. We were married a few weeks ago. She has a valid Italian driver's license and an International Driving Permit. My questions are: Does she need to apply for a permit and take a written and driving test? Or can she apply for a license (no tests) based on the fact that she is currently a licensed driver? Does she need to apply using the DL180 (permit with a medical exam) form or the DL180R (license and no medical exam) form? Thanks in advance!

Well..i am also from PA and last week i gave Computer Test and passed it successfully. It was damn easy to pass, we hav to get 15 questions correct out of 18 and u can also skip questions if u dont know them. After u pass they will take ur Vision Test and then give u a Valid Learner's Permit. But they asked me 2 Residence proofs. After u get ur Learner's Permit, u can immediately give ur Road Test if u know driving well.

Apart from what i understand is that if u hav a Foreign Lisence it will be valid for only 1 year, so after that u will have to apply and go thru all this process. So it is better to apply soon and get Driving Lisence after passing computer test.

Hey..Guys..I arrived on 5th April, at Newark EWR Airport. Then after 3 days applied for SSN and got it within a week. But its almost a month now and there is no correspondence from USCIS regarding Welcome Letter or Green Card. I have paid 165$ USCIS fee before i departed. But still there is no letter from USCIS.

Is there any way i can find current status of my Green Card???

My POE was Newark EWR Int. Airport.

Hey..Guys..just i saw the new VB...well...it frustrating for us but let spray that at least its moving unlike F4 which is held like frozen. Well i am in US and now its very pleasant weather here, it spring and people can come out from their houses and its good time here. Now waiting for my SSN and GC.

US is a very big country and when u all will come here u all will know how the life is in US, but i will say this is a very civilised and systematic country. Its just good money here ...Do ask me more if u want to know.

West send on the questions... I have no problem helping where I can...... To apply for the no impediment certificate just go to the RGD Registrar General Department and tell them just that.. You must bring your birth certificate and just take ur IL letter just incase they ask you for it... Ensure you tell them to do a search in all the parishes k and it is $5200 for 6 week service and express is 5 days for $6600... they are only valid for 6 months so wait until u r near the interview to apply for it k... Unfortunately u can't apply for this one online
