Always register with the DOS and let them know when, where you will be traveling and with whom.
I think (not sure) if you loose your GC (always have a copy of the card with you) you would go to nearest consulate/embassy and they will be able to give you an entry permit.

It is not a big deal. Make sure you make a pdf or jpg copy of the GC and have it stored in a place where you can access it from anywhere, such as a gmail account. Carry a copy with you. Leave the actual documents in the hotel safe at all times. If you happen to lose it, get a hold of the copy you made and call the nearest US consulate. Make a police report wherever you are. The US consulate can issue your wife a letter with which she can get on a plane back home. On e back in the US all she needs do is go to the USCIS office and request a replacement. It is really nothing over which to lose sleep.

You may remeber that they were brought to US unknowingly, as kids.. In addition, no one said that they are "cutting inline".. They are waiting just like everyone else. On the other hand, they are probably in greater needs than all of us and our fiancees. They need LEGAL jobs. This is not their fault that they were brought here as kids. In addition, for our current budget situation, it makes more economical sense to legalize illegal immigrants than bringing foreign fiances/es. I am just stating macroeconomical facts. Myself I am republican and do not endorse illegal immigration. However, this is a different situation.

You know, I usually give good advice. I recommended you to meet your fiancee in Mexico. Just like I did for 3 months (even though I met her before 5-6 times in Europe). Never in these 3 months I had glimpse of idea to bring her to US.. Our apartment was 3 miles from the border for me being able to easily cross the border to go to work every day. NOW, aside from the fact that you shouldn't of done it (what is done is done) my recommendation is:
    1) Don't listen to anyone here. Advices here are good under normal circumstances. Under your circumstances you need a GOOD attorney. Proceed with caution. Don't do anything else without the attorney. You done already enough.
    2) Get a really good attorney with track record. If you do the right thing, attorney writes full explanation of what happened in the waiver, all documentation is good anf correct, you should BE FINE. The way attorney explains things and how he/she files documentation and timeliness of it is absolutely crucial. Just do it.
    3) Let me know if you need a good attorney, I have one in San Diego that I can recommend. If you need info let me know.

I agree. Try several attorneys. But check their references first. Don't use any information or advices on ANY web sites.

If you have nothing constructive to say don't post. OP is not asking for opinions. He is asking what to do moving forward. Just simply trying to rub it in and getting pleasure from it tells a lot about your level of satisfaction with life..

You know, you need to know the full story before making conclusions. This was the only chance for them to meet, so what?

Immigrate2us.net has tons of information about waivers. Also, there you can find names of trusted immigration attorneys who specialize in this part of immigration law. I personally would consider giving two or three of such lawyers a call to hear their opinions. Some of them are giving free first consultation so you can get a clear vision of your situation and act accordingly.
I hope everything works out for you.

Boggy has a history of ridiculous posts, derailing remarks. I do not recommend responding. Just read his history of posting. I tried to contact moderator due to number of incorrect advices that he/her provided intentionally and provocative posts but never got a response. Just ignore.. Again, I urge moderators to look at potential trolls. They spoiled this site lately big time. In addition, their advices may be taken seriously. Please, pay attention. This site is turning bad. I've been a member here for several years now and always found this site helpful. Never seen such a huge influx of trolls, etc.

I think there are too many judgmental posts here. I agree with them but everyone should look at themselves first: what they did or did not do right.. Personally, I never had a problem like that but this post is not about what is right or wrong.. Returning to the question: I read one thread here before where someone was able to deliver while under I864. They were even able to obtain Medicaid. However, Medicaid made them pay back. I am not sure if you will be successful in paying back or obtaining medicaid. One thing that people do in this case is have a delivery and arrange payment plan with the provider. They some times allow you to have 10 year payment plan interest free. Never done it but it may be an option.

If immigration monitors this board - which quite possibly is the case - it explains the ridiculously long processing times.

I brought my wife to US absolutely legal way on K1. I am getting increasingly annoyed with cases that I see here saying: "Oh, I came here on VWP to see my boyfriend and all of a sudden decided to get married and stay here". I know that my statement can be controversial but I WILL state this: This is a lie! There is no way someone is coming across the world here, for example from UK or Russia for 1 month, with all their stuff in their countries, active apartment lease, jobs, family members, without any prior preparation and deciding "all of a sudden" to stay! I state again: this is a lie. 99% of cases. USCIS should stop considering those cases! These people should be removed from US and banned forever. Because of people like that legitimate couples have to wait longer. Would like to hear your opinions. Especially, I would like to hear the ones that came here on VWP, stayed, and will have decency to tell me here that in fact that was spare of the moment..
