Hi All,
not sure if i am posting in the right forum, i will go ahead and ask these questions
A family member of mine is married to a Jamaican Citizen he is now a naturalized US Citizen, they have a 5 month old son together, my question is should he file 2 seperate 1-130 petitions (one for his wife one for the child? we contacted the US emabssy in Jamaica about it by email, we explained to them that we are going the CR1-IR1 route, i even asked about the consular report of birth for the child, i dont think they seem to know what that is, they replied to us saying that if the child isnt qualified for the consular report of birth (which we dont know if he is or not) the husband should file seperate 1-130 petitions, what do you think we should do? any info will be greatly appreciated
The Consular Report of Birth states the child was born in JA by b/c the child was born to a US Citizen parent the child is also a US Citizen. Was the child born in JA after the mom recv'd her cert of naturalization? If so then the son qualifies but if not then yes the mom would have to file two I-130's (son & husband).

Like he said to Matt, the power started with mind reading, but then it "grew" into something different. He's got some kind of tuning with people's minds to the point he can lock them, no matter where they are.
I agree. It was kind of weird at first but now it all makes sense. What is up w/ the new girl? Does she work for the company?
It does?
I think she had to have been talking to Bob. She called him "daddy", right?
Matt's dad can get in ppl minds as well as Matt. He did that to Nathan to wake him up. I can't wait until Matt's dad get to Bob, maybe then we'll get some answers as to why he's doing it.

thanks much i hope it does not take long cause hearing from other people it take like forever here in jamaica.
It can take a while but better be safe then sorry. I personally would rather wait a year then be banned for longer then that. Your child alone will show proof of intent and no matter what you lawyer say the proof is right there!!!!

Pronounce the name 'Smith' as 'Simit'
Refer to their sweetheart as "puss" or "boopsey"
Funniest thing is at POE in Fort Lauderdale, one of the gentlemen that was processed was called Smith; I was sitting there with Aaron teasing that back home they would say, "Missa Simit"...
Another nickname is putuss...My nickname was Puunchie (given by my stepmom)
My baby father calls our daughter Muunchie...lol

You never know what's going to happen with this show.... everything could change and it has nothing to do with being passed on at all.... remember, Simone was supposed to be at the explosion site but then got killed before it ever happened??
Also, Mohindar doesn't have any powers but yet his sister did and, as far as we know, neither of his parents had any powers either.... but then again, we didn't know that Angela or Hiro's dad had powers until this season so WHO KNOWS WHAT'S GOING ON?????
But isn't Mohinder blood some type of power? I mean it he is the one that saves the heroes from the disease. Just a thought.
-
Hmmm, who's this Charles person again? What have I missed? :s
Old guy in the wheelchair that Peter used to take care of. Simone's dad.
But you know that everyone seem to have a power b/c of their parents. Why didn't Simone? This is why I like this show b/c it makes you think. I like the challenge.
It seems (in my opinion anyway!) that you have to have BOTH parents with a power to be born with them yourself (both Peter and Nathan's Mum and Dad had powers). Perhaps Simone's mother didn't have any. I may be completely wrong, of course!
That's an interesting theory. Now I have to go through all of the Heroes...
It didn't seem like Sylar's mom had any powers. I don't think we know anything about his dad.
Has there been any mention of Hiro's mother?
Who are Molly's parents anyway?
nyseness, you're right.
This is why I love Heroes so much too!
Yea and Matt has powers although we dont' know anything about his mom. I'm real interested to find out more about the guy Mohinder works for, he was also in the picture so he should be kill off too.

Who was the guy in the mirror when Nathan punched it? I couldn't get a good look.
I thought it was him? But all burnt... Maybe not though!
Yeah it was him burnt/disfigured. He also saw him last season, right? I think it was the five years later episode...
I thought the same thing but wasn't sure. I don't remember seeing the image in the last season. It that from the ending when he flew away w/ Peter ?
Now that I think about it, I think it was this season. Clare had called Nathan while he was at some bar and when they hung up, that's when he saw his disfigured face in a mirror.
You know what, you are right. I remember now. And you know what I just realized from the last episode that Charles Deavorox (sp) had powers to see the future. That's why he was able to see Peter on the roof to talk about the explosion.

Hi Ladies,
For those who live in NY I'm looking for a good African Hair Braiding shop in Brooklyn. I know they have one at each corner but just wanted to know which ones are better. I'll be in NY Thanksgiving weekend.
Thanks,
Anna

It is a Life style thing for most Jamaicans...My hubby knew he better get his a@@ up when i called no matter what he was doing..and his friends always just knew when the phone rings he gotta go..and he gets teased cause at the end of the call he always give me a kiss...
but, you have to demand what you want or else u'll never get it until it gets out of hand....
just my 2cents
I have to agree. Javon comes home from work and hang out w/ his boys all the time.

You could try asking others in other countries what their experience was like. I know...we all know Jamaica is in it's own world when it come to the US Embassy.
I don't know of anyone who ever did direct filing in JA for the K-1.....is it only an option for K-3/ CR-1 filers?
You know I don't know if you have to be married to do this. I don't think so....but I could be wrong. Basically with DCF you go to the Embassy and have the interview FIRST and tell them that you want to file for your spouse at the Embassy. They have a USCIS branch in KIngston. You have to be a resident of Jamaica though to do this. So if you decide to go live in JA for awhile you can apply for your residency and 6 months later apply for the spouses visa, or fiance visa. They say it is really quick. you just gotta act like you know what you want to do cause the workers there are rude and will try to discourage you from doing it.....but as I was told by a worker there it is an option.
The easiest way to get your residency in JA is to of course be married to a national or have a job there.
Marlita is correct but you do have to be married first. I would recommend you contacting the Embassy b/c back in 2005 they weren't doing this process anymore but of course these changes daily w/ them.
