  1. I 've never thought I will say this: I HATE WEEKENDS ! And u know why? Because I know VSC is not working and my time increases and increases and increases...

I have no reasons to check VJ during the weekend but I still do maybe somebody forgot to update their timelines ... very sad ! Is there anybody who is checking VJ and uscis sites more than 3142314 times per day, because I do ?!

We discussed this in another topic. Use the search function before posting. The Service Centers are open 7 days a week. Voluntary overtime, not Mandatory.

  2. Actually, they have the petitions mixed together. For instance, they were still working with July and August both.I was hoping they would get done with July and start to focus on August and September by now. Every time you see a july approval pop up, It shows how behind they are and how organized they are not.

One good thing is that, they are no longer dormant like they were for the last three months.

You are just about right, only it will be mixed between August, September, and October by late next week.

ACTUALLY. You are incorrect, AGAIN. He is right, not "about right". Common sense, look at the list. Almost all of the July filers are finished and half of the August filers are as well. This is not rocket science. As for them being mixed together, well, I think we've known this since uhm... WE STARTED THE PROCESS! :bonk:

  3. ; I just woke up and checked the approvals from yesterday  , woohooh 11 approvals.. , now that is a great way to wake up!! Atleast I'll be going to work with a smile on my face :D

I know! This has turned out to be an awesome week! Last night there was only 3 - 4, now theres 11! At this rate of the "small percentage of petitioners that make up this site" being approved, they must be approving a lot! Go VSC! Go Go Go!

  4. wow so they're really starting to process even oct. 2010 filers too... what is that site u checked? can u give us the link... the other day here in VJ one oct. 2010 filer was approved too... wow... hope we're next so we can have our noa2 and we can have our big wooooo, yahhoooo...:luv::P

Yes, the other filer was an October 15th filer.

Now you will habitually check that site as well... Enjoy.

  5. Usually I would send a congrats to the people who were approved but I just noticed that for the 3rd consecutive business day, Vermont has been rolling! Hopefully this pace will continue. Congratualtions to those who have been approved! Am starting to feel a little better about the process. It is very nice to see some progress. Again, Congrats and best wishes!

    Keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin'

    Uggh

    Keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin'

    What?

    Keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin'

    Come on!

  6. :innocent:; I think they are using time zones. Like August 1st up to August 12th. And then August 12th til August 26th.. August 26th to September 11.. and so on... :))

You mean that they are approving petitions within certain timeframes? It would make sense for the first come first serve basis. I don't think that the dates are specified beforehand, I think somebody picks up a stack of petitions and the dates are just dependant on what stack he/she chose on that day.

  7. Been a lot of bad weather up there in the last week or so. Now in the past week of this weather, U.S. government has had offices closed for a day there. VSC was not closed. Only thing I can realistically think of as to why they would have slowed down. Now,based on the new data USCIS listed recently, VSC has about 33,000 petitions to go through (k-1), which means they are backlogged majorly.

    VSC K-1s from August-November 2010: http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=6&office=6&charttype=1

Recieved: 7,116 new K-1 petitions filed (Blue)

Awaiting Customer Action (RFE I guess): 1,506 (grey line)

Awaiting Action (IE: Have a human look at them): 32,248 Petitions (yellow line)

    Completions: 5,226 (Green Bar)

Not very good looking statistics if you ask me.

    Also just to highlight: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do

"If the office is processing a particular type of application in less time than our processing goal, you will see the processing times expressed in months (for example, if the office is processing naturalization applications in less than our 5 month goal, the processing time will state “Five Months”). However, if that office is taking longer than our processing goal to handle the form type in question, you will see the filing date (e.g., “April 10, 2003”) of the last case we processed on the date the website chart was last updated. The charts are updated on or about the 15th day of each month."

Field Office Processing Dates for Vermont Service Center as of: November 30, 2010

    I-129F Petition for Alien Fiance(e) K-1/K-2 - Not yet married - fiance and/or dependent child 5 Months

Based on their wording they are processing I-129Fs under the 5 month goal as of November 30th, 2010. BS.

It is good to read that you finally agree with me. That site will always say 5 Months, just to make them look good. Unfortunately, it is not true. We are well passed our 5 month goal for a whole slew of "customers". I am just taking it day by day now. Everything will be fine and one day I will walk out to grab my mail and my letter will be there. Other than that, I gave up on checking USCIS.gov and habitually checking this site for others approvals, because in all honesty, someone elses approval means nothing to yours.
