  1. One other problem - you are asking for standardized evidence. That means that every single foreign country in the world that uses their own languages and their own documentation must now conform to US standards on the off chance that one of their citizens will eventually be sponsored as a beneficiary to move to the US. That means all birth certificates - even for countries that technologically do not do this on a regular basis (yes, there are still some) and all marriage certificates, divorce and death documents must now all contain exactly the same information - no more and no less - and organized in such a way that the machine can automatically recognize and 'slot' the necessary information into the correct field. That means all evidence must now be written in English or transcribed into a standardized English format. That will make countries such as Russia and Viet Nam very happy, I'm sure. The real problem is that evidence in the US isn't even standardized - a divorce decree from Georgia looks nothing like a divorce decree from Texas, for example - and I don't see that likelihood ever happening here until you are able to get the 50 different small 'countries' that make up the US federation to forego their state right to be in charge of vital statistic records.

Technology is good in its place but too much of a reliance on technology is just as dangerous as not using it correctly. Yes, USCIS and DOS - two different federal departments, btw - the immigration staff and the Consulate staff don't work for the same departments - could do much better at inter communications and sharing information via technology. They could do a better job at sharing the information with us, but I don't think it would be a good idea at all to remove the human element from the process. As the saying goes, 'To err is human, but to really foul things up takes a computer".

Uhm... It's called Localization. It's very common. Theres the answer to that.

  2. i hope there will be oct. 2010 filers get approve starting next month... and hope that we are included on the first batch of approvals... :P:dance::thumbs::innocent::blush:

I'd say for you... Probably around the 26th of next month. I am going by the estimated 5 month approval. Mine should be around the 7th. Some have been approved already, but I would think March 1st begins the Oct 1st filers. I hope and pray and wish so. GO GO GO!

  3. Common sense people. This "friend" he/she is referring to is her/himself. Secondly the question is quite simple and nobody answered it. Here it is... Can she marry her boyfriend who is in the USA for 90 days on a F1 Visa? Considering that she had not received her citizenship. I don't know the answer, but nobody is answering what she really wants.

  4. lol I love cheese actually but what I really dislike is someone whining about someone whining :)

I would love some cheese but you probably ate it all and drank all the "whine" too, that is why you are complaining about people complaining, that must be a thrilling way to spend time, reading "pointless threads" commenting on said "pointless" thread, then complaining about how people should not make a thread about complaining. lol WOW

Did you really just waste your time writing that pointless post, in which you were whining about people whining about people whining? Are you going to whine more now? Wow spelled backwards is wow. FYI. Feed into it more? Was this a pointless post? I don't know. I'm going to have some cheese now. I'm preparing yours for the next whine. GO GO GO!

  5. Do you mean zero movement like the one that we will probably see today?

Who ever said stop bitching...... NO, you didnt have to open the thread and read it thanks bye :)

Progress is progress I was just pointing out a downward trend and it looks like I may be right because as the days go we get less aprouvals and today we may get none.

Finally about VJ not being a valid sample, we live in the 21st century pretty much everyone in the US has a computer and uses them, pretty much everyone in zimbabwe uses one let alone in the US. We are a very good random sample thier is no bias here. and just becasue you can find similarities in the members does not mean they are relavent to the statistic being analyzied. What does filing your self have to do with anyhting? Most people do file themselves but ok.

There is nothing worse then a person who goes on to a forum opens a thread and then feels the need to voice that the thread is pointless, the hypocracy of that situation is comical. It was so pointless but you just felt the need to add to its pointless ness and spend your valuable time reading through 4 pages of posts of a useless thread. :bonk::bonk:

Do you want some cheese with your whine?

  6. 2 so far. Over half of VJ august is done.

I'll reserve my thoughts on their processing until tomorrow morning once most people have the chance to log on.

VJ could get 0 approvals 1 day and VSC could have approved 300 apps.

More VJers from a month they approve, slower it 'looks' on Igors list which is not an acceptable chart for statistical use or knowing approval #'s.

YESSSSSSSSS!!!... Thank god someone actually uses their brain. This is what I needed to read today, better mood.

  7. Okay folks!! what's the minimum number of approvals should be expected from Vermont on this thread?? I personally think if Vermont approves 5 a day, that should mean that they are working hard out there and will catch up soon.

In response to those who say 'relax and keep a positive attitude', I agree, but we can do all that and still keep the pressure. Never assume that applied pressure don't make a difference. I'm all for putting pressure, sometimes it's the only way to make a difference.

These people have not hit their 5 month mark yet, so explain how they should apply pressure? By bitching in a forum that is doing absolutely nothing? Until you guys hit 150 days, stop complaining about speeds and everything else. Learn to have some patience. We are ALL in the same boat. If you guys keep filling it with #######, we're all going to sink.

  8. 5 approvals from VSC yesterday.

    0 from CSC.

And the complaint threads are about VSC's speed.

5 Approvals only from this site, and only from those who actually updated their timelimes. You can't jude the speed of either service center based on what is happening HERE. CSC may have approved hundreds more petitions than VSC did yesterday, but guess what?! Their probably not members on this site. So which one is faster? Nobody knows. Period. You know what's slow?... Most of you.
