Since I-134 is an Embassy/Consulate thing, this topic is being moved to that forum...
This topic is K-1 Procedure based, please move it back as I am not getting any answers now that you moved it.

I-134. Must be printed on front and back?
-
also found this on the Moldovan Emabassy site....
Do the Same Income Requirements Apply to Form I-134 as Apply to Form I-864?
No. The 125 percent of the federal poverty guideline minimum income requirement, the most recent year's tax return, and other requirements only apply when Form I-864 is needed. Applicants presenting Form I-134 will need to show that their U.S. sponsor's income is 100 percent of the federal poverty guideline.

What would the "Relationship to Sponsor" be for the co-sponsor if it is my mother?
Daughter in-law to be?
Son's fiancee?
I don't think that I need one, but I am preparing the forms just in case.

I want to contact NVC and find out the status of my K-1...
How do I contact them, and what information do I need?
-
It's about time our thread starts getting all this good news. It should have been like this starting a month ago.
Now the beginning of the journey is starting to be a distant memory!
Keep the good news coming!, and to those of you still waiting, it WILL come!
Thanks to everyone who helped me and others out along the way.

We were asked the same supporting documents
The same things I mentioned?
-
I am getting a lot conflicting answers to this question...
From what I understand, the consulates have only been asking for the previous years Tax Return, and the I-134.
I on the other hand will be bringing 2010 Tax Returns, I-134, 3-5 Recent Paychecks, and a Bank Statement showing the amount I currently have in the bank.

Congrats. If only we were so lucky...we have been told to wait sixty more daya before we can check in again...undergoing admin processing for some reason
thank ur lucky stars.....
Thank you. I know the feeling. Trust me. When we got to the 150 day mark and heard nothing. The road seems to stretch out and take longer to travel down, but I promise you, the minute that you receive that text message... The feeling you get when you read that you have been approved. I can't even describe it. The text message only says that your case has been updated. My heart starts pounding, I have to sit down... log in to e-mail, start reading it... and the relief is immence. On that day, when you get this opportunity, the whole time that you waited will disappear, and you will feel this incredible happiness. I read what you wrote in the October thread. Sorry that you are going to through Security Checks. I think all will be well, and I hope that you get your NOA2 very very soon!

Congrats, Blood dude!
Thanks dogspot!

I just need to know when and how to contact NVC to inquire about my case.
I am flying out next week. Do I have everything?...
1. NOA2
2. Copy of I-129 Packet
3. Proof of Ongoing Relationship (We will add to this in her country as well).
4. I-134
5. Letter of Employment
6. 3-5 Last Paychecks
7. 2010 Taxes
Is there anything else that I may need?
-
Congrats.
So, they finally stopped touching your petition and started working on it.
Dude, they touched me to death. Little did I know that when I began the process, that after ALL those touches (which I thought would mean that mine would go faster), that I would have waited so long. But hey! It's here and she is totally worth the wait to me.!
-
Congrats! About damn time!
Thanks Blob! We did it! Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I am flying to Moldova next week because I couldn't stand a minute more away from my SO, and we get approved right before I leave! Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I do not know what to do with myself, a customer of mine looked at me like I was crazy because I was doing the happy dance in my store! My SO started crying she was so happy (Skype).
Thank you to all the VJers that helped us along the way, it really mean a lot to me.
Good luck to all of those still waiting, your day WILL come!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!

You're navigating through a system that already has a lot of variability built in when it comes to how long your petition or application takes from filing to approval. Which service center your petition goes to. Which consulate your approved petition goes to. The day of the freakin' week the service center receives your petition. Whether you paid by check or money order. Whether the foreign beneficiary can get a medical appointment in a timely manner or not. Whether the asswipes who share a country with the foreign beneficiary feel like blowing up a bus stand or start a riot the day before the interview. I could go on but you get the point. There are already a million different things that cause each one of us to have a slightly different timeline than the other.
And you want to whine about the government shutdown?
It is but one more variable in a long series of many. And it isn't even the most impactful.
So stfu about the shutdown already. This shutdown debate is about something a lot bigger than you or I.
Whining about whining.... Very productive.
Someone get this guy a tissue. Quick!
and prepare for the useless reply.

DUDE! I feel like I have this syndrome! I'm checking our status at USCIS website everyday, 3 to 5 times a day since we received our case number! and we are only waiting for a month now, we still have 5 or more months to go!!!
I don't know if it just me or everyone here are doing the same...or I'm just getting nuts?!!!
Anyways, Good day and have fun ya'll!
JT
Oh lord no, it is not just you. When I first filed I must have checked it about 10 times a day. As time goes on it will die down. You learn to make the best of the time you have, and just try to stay as close as possible to someone who is so far away. Just get to know eachother, get things ready for when your SO arrived. Stay busy... Work a lot, and save a lot of money. That is always a good thing. Anyway, now that I am done with my rant, I feel ya. I remember those days, and to be honest with you, I don't even want to think back to 6 months ago. Either way, I wish you very good luck and hope that it is smooth sailing for you!

Tomorrow is my date for my congressperson to follow up with VSC. We will see if I get the same response as you got...probably. Oh well, that is good ot know that you should know by next week, right?
Super good. I am flying out to Moldova next Thursday, so it would make it a double good week. I am also hoping that since I should be getting my approval next week, that 90 days would be sufficient time for my SO to have her interview scheduled, visa in hand, and prepared to return with me on the same flight. Here we go!...
-
I e-mailed my Congressman today, as it is April 4th. I informed him that there was no update on the status of my case and that in the previous e-mail that I had received from him stated that if I did not have a decision by today that he could then contact VSC and resquest an immediate decision on my case... This was his response...
"I just called the Vermont Service Center. A request from the Congressional Unit of VSC has been sent to the official adjudicating the case for an immediate review. Therefore, an approval, denial or request for additional documentation should be made by the beginning of next week. I have noted your case for follow up next Monday."

Someone on here made the suggestion to discuss the option to life in the alien spouses country instead of the US and see what the reaction is. A person who is out to get a greencard won't be to happy about that idea...
Red flags for me would be:
my SO is unavailable a lot of times I call
doesn't engage much in conversations
seems not interested in how I am doing
usually I am the one who stays in touch while apart
the list probably goes on and on...
lol, I thought the same thing! Funny you mention the "Living in the SO's country" I said that (In the very beginning)... She was excited, she didnt care either way, she just wants to be with me no matter where we are. I really liked it, and I know she loves me, just thought I would share that.

I AM NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO A 22 HOUR TRIP, WITH TWO SIX HOUR LAYOVERS! I SHOULD'VE PAYED ATTENTION, BUT I WAS SO EXCITED I BOUGHT THE FIRST TICKET I SAW. OH WELL, IT'S WORTH IT!
