    Channah&Aaron reacted to Dumb/Dumber in ; almost 7 months and still no NOA2
    I am an early November filer. I waited until six months and contacted my Senator, no help. I requested a service request and I received an e-mail stating that we were still in background checks, inquire again in six months. I have sent them 3 more e-mails since then and they are not waivering.
    This is definitely unfair. We are all still in background checks when others have been approved in 30, 60, 90, 120 days and personally I do not believe our files have even been looked at. Our lives are being held hostage by the immigration system. We are experiencing judgements due to age discrimination and religious backgrounds. Personally I believe our constitutional rights are being trashed because we fell in love with someone from another country.
    Well they better get used to it because with modern technology, this is going to happen more and more. The immigration department acts like it must be fraud if their is age differences and religious differences. Give me a break. There are thousands of age differences and religious differences marriages between US Citizens.
    I definitely want to be protected from terrorists, but come on with today's modern technology, it is pretty easy to check someone's background.
    As far as fraud. If they make it to the United States and they are frauds, the petitioner will put them on a plane back to their country.
    Bless your heart, what I am trying to say is we are all in this together. We are all being held hostage and I do not intend to let them break me. They are messing with the wrong woman now. I will scream this injustice to the roof tops because it is so wrong. I have witnessed so many people go through so much pain on this website and it just is not fair.
    DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE! THIS IS NOT YOUR FAULT! YOU ARE DOING THE BEST YOU CAN!!! YOUR SPOUSES AND FUTURE SPOUSES ARE WORTH THE WAIT!!!!

    2. Having your fiance with you during the interview will not make them think "why not getting married here?". It's the decision you and your fiance made, it's none of their business where you guys wanna get married . What they will think is, is how much he loves you to fly all the way over and support you during your interview
    Don't be stressed out!! There is nothing to be stressed out, see this all as a positve journey and you guys will do well!! Good luck

    I am very sorry to hear that this happened to your case. I also heard a few weeks ago about a VJ member who got approved a day or two after getting a letter like that. It might not really be '6 months' - they are just buying themselves time so you won't bug them - but I know that might be little comfort now when you don't know what the future holds. Good luck, man.

    I read his post, I'm just saying that people can use different words that arent that harsh.
    Second of all, I'm glad I don't live in a place where a lot people tells me to "man up", "it's not only about you", "me me me", "man up, princess". Ofcourse, the OP can expect and will receive people telling him what to do, if only some members would chose their words carefully..... It's about respect for each others feelings/situations/problems/etc.
    Anyways, I'm not going into this discusion. All I did was showing a point that people do have to respect his broken heart and have some sympathy, although a lot of people thought he was very wrong, don't say hard things like that. This isn't high school, and I thought VJ is about supporting each other. If I was in the same situation and somebody would say "man up, princess, or jerk", then where is this forum going to? That's all.

    ; HUH? I don't know what you're talking about, but I traveled to the US before while my K-1/I-129f was pending. I haven't had any problems.
    I always bring:
    * A copy of the I-129f package
    * a copy of NOA1
    * letter from my Employer (with company letter head) stating when my Boss expects me to be back this March 23rd. = approval for my unpaid vacation
    * salary specifications from the past 3 months, so they'll know I have an income and can support myself
    * a return ticket.
    I don't know why you think that people are in the K-1 process can't travel to the US. You can!! It's a known fact that you are allowed to travel, but maybe you have to prove strong(er) ties to your home country. And the documents I mentioned above are pretty strong ties. And I also went to the US last month december/beginning of January (spent NY's with my hubby), so I didn't have a problem either.
    Dont unnecc scare members saying that they can't travel during their process, you can!

    ; It's all about the interview, but they might considder your fiance's appearance as a bonus. they'll see it as a big plus that you flew all the way to support your fiance that's shows a point, I would say.
    Like I said, it's all about the interview, but that someone's fianc(e) is attending to support their love is a good thing

    Just because he has been through a lot of sh*t and he now is desperate to get his NOA2, he still doesn't have the right to use this Terror-Attack as an excuse.
    When he apologized, (appology accepted), he was only talking about how much bad times he has been through, but not about the terror attack he first seems to be so worried about his fiancee's safety. It just doesn't make sense to me. First it was the Russian Airport Attack, and now he said it's just because of the things he went thru.
    Though, OP, I am sorry you had to go thru all that. But seriously, next time, just say this straight away instead of using the Attack first. That's why a lot of members, also me, felt offended.

    Channah&Aaron got a reaction from Harpa Timsah in Visiting USA while K1 Being Processed
    ; Yes, my access has been denied last May !!
    Because it was my own stupid fault.
    1) The officer asked me if Aaron and I were romantically connected. My answer was; No, he is just a friend. (He was at that time, ofcourse my boyfriend). I was just too scared about getting denied after reading horror stories online. I thought it would be the easy way. Oh my, I was dead wrong. It was horrible how I have been treated. But I guess I kinda deserved it I'll never listen to other people and do what I always did before and do still. Be honest!!
    2) I flew to the US several times, but never had to show any prove. Before I got denied, they asked me things such as a letter from my employer or anything. I didn't bring it with me. Eventhough I had strong ties with Netherlands, I just couldn't prove it to them. (though, I'll never fly through Philladelphia again )
    I've learned from my mistake, got a B2 Visa (multiple entre visa) and I flew after my denial a couple of times - I was dead nervous - but never got me in problems. The officers in Pittsburgh Airport know me by now and they know that Aaron and I are dealing with this legally
    Good Luck, be well prepared and just be honest. You'll be fine!! Enjoy your time whenever you're in the US!!

    I think you are ridiculous. I can't help that. You knew that timelines are very flexible before you started the process, that's a well known fact. And I don't think you are only angry, I think you are desperate. Your married future is in their hands, accept it, because this Visa shouldn't be taken for granted. You have a no, yet you can get a yes. Depends on your case. And starting this excuse of the terrorist attack where many people got killed, you want to expedite your case... how selfish and pathetic that is. We all first think of the people that have died and their families, than worrying about "oh in that case, maybe I can ask for expediting my case"... I would say, get in line in this waiting game. Don't take this process for granted. And stop using lame excuses about Haitians, people are dying over there and your fiancee isn't... DUH!!!!
